    Default Me Wise Magic live?

So you guys think there is any chance we will hear MWM or CGTSNM on tour? Im super excited to hear all the new stuff for sure, and I know its gunna rock, but with the huge cateloge of "the 6 pack" I bet its gunna be hard to limit the setlist.

All I know is I personally would LOVE to hear MWM live with Dave... Its a rocker!

Just can't see Dave pulling off MWM live, he had enough trouble (although I think he nailed it) pulling off the recorded version but CGTSNM would kick serious ass live me thinks. Ed's playing on that song is as good as it gets for me.

It would certainly be very cool to hear them play it, if Dave could pull it off though. Plus Ed would need to equip one of his new Wolfgang's with a Stienberger Transtrem to play it. Never say never though.

It's a great song and was exactly the direction I was hoping the band would head in 1996, when it was released. Both songs sound great, especially the band - they were firing on all cylinders! The guitars are fantastic on both tunes.

I do think that at the time, they were not sure if Dave would be a permanent part of the band, and they *may* (they wouldn't do that, no?) have handed him a piece of music that was written for a singer with more range ala Sam. But I like what Dave did with the song, and who knows, they might rework it live so it is more in Dave's comfort zone, or even re-record it with better vocals from Dave. I'm a CVH fan first and foremost, so I am not slamming him for his vocals on the song as a personal attack, but I think if he had some time to work them up and have an enginner help with the overall sound (ala Ozzy's vocals these days) a new recording of the song could work and sound fantastic.

Then again, it is a point in time... thats the beauty of recording a song - its recorded, it down to tape, and thats what it is, genital warts and all

I'm guessing no, but I think it's a good thing: we need to keep Ed as far away from any Sustainer pickups as possible so he doesn't renew his over-reliance on it.

I sure hope they play them both, I was surprised they didn't play them on the last tour. I love CGTSNM.

There is no way he could pull that off nightly and Ed probably doesn't want to have to relearn it when they have newer material to promote.

There is no way they are playing it live.

Would love to hear it, as it is a great tune in my opinion, but there is no way. Too many difficulties to pull it off so it sounds decent, and most people in the audience wouldn't know it.

Agreed. Those songs were great little gems that emerged in the middle of so much bad news and drama. It would be quite a treat.

I liked those songs alot too....and till this day they always remind be of the where I was at in life during the 90s

I know the song is layered alot vocally and guitar wise...but id love to see a modded version live.

I'm guessing the set list won't change a whole lot from Thursday night. They will sprinkle in a few of the new songs from the album and there it will be.

But, I would love to hear CGTSNM or MWM as well.
