    Default Next Single: "Different Devil"

    From:

    http://ultimateclassicrock.com/chick...c-rock-awards/

"Different Devil" is the next single and will be released this month. Pretty good choice, I think "Dubai Blues" and "Come Closer" should be next.

    Agree and agree.

They've been terrible when it comes to picking singles, they got it right this time around

Bigfoot was a good lead, but Three and a Half Letters was a dreadful choice for a single. Different Devil or Come Closer should have been second, but I guess better late than never! Agree that CC or Dubai Blues should come next.

Good choice, hopefully it'll give the album a bit of a kick too.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

Last time I bought singles was the little tinned ones from Balance, anyone know if any of the Foot singles have been released on disc in the UK?

I am not saying this to be an ass, but does this album have enough legs for a fourth and fifth single?

It hasn't done as well as the first, and the releasing of 3 and 1/2 was a real momentum killer in my book.

I thought Different Devil should have been the opening single, but hey, that's just me.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

unfortunately I agree, 3.5 letters was a terrible choice and I also agree with not touring being a momentum killer.

I like Bigfoot for the first single but DD or CC should have been second.

All that said, does it really matter? This record wasn't going to sell 5 million regardless of the choice of singles and promotion. IMO, it's a solid record, I like it, so record sales......ehhh whatever.

Are they going to tour in 2012 or no>?

Yeah, they've said they would on multiple occasions and mentioned specifically that Kenny was their "touring" drummer.

I agree, but it would be great to see CFIII at least go gold. The first album can't be far off platinum now either, surely...

Awesome song. My favorite on the whole album. The second favorite would have to be Come Closer. Different Devil is perfect for radio play.

Should have been the 2nd single all along instead of 3.5 Letters. However I am sure that CF is thinking of the free publicity that will come with VH being in the news. You know that media is going to ask again what he and Mike think of the album, tour, etc so why not put your most commercial song out there at the same time?

Also can possibly get a bit of revenge if DD charts higher than what seems to be Tattoo.

Oh yeah, dont get me wrong, Id love to see Cf sell millions each effort no doubt, but if not, I think they wont be devestated, they appear to be having a blast and it shows on the stage and in the music

Great tune. Didn't do a ton for me at first, but it is now the best song on the album, to me. The song has true substance to it. Isn't about guitar solos or Sammy screaming. Just a GREAT song. Hope it gets some airplay. I hardly ever hear anything from them on radio. I know, radio is so 1980s anymore.
