www.hardradio.com reports in their news section that VH has 11 songs done. Ed is supposedly working with Ted Templeman and Roth is working at different times than Ed with another producer. Man, that doesn't sound good.

Oh well, looks like one album and maybe a tour and that's it if the sources are credible.

Al and I are the real Van Halen. There could always be Van Halen as long as it's me and Al. But if there was no Dave, this place would be pretty empty tonight. - EVH during a 1984 pre-concert interview before that night's sold out show

And there's only one David Lee. I'm the fun in Van Halen, always will be. - David Lee Roth

When classic Van Halen is together it's like one person. When I say 'I' in this respect, I mean my whole cadre that I am part of. I'm the tear boss, and I'm a fuckin' lifer. - David Lee Roth

Oh well, looks like one CD and tour and that is it. It appears they are doing this for the record company and the die hard fans from the beginning. That is if the sources are credible.

    i dunno bout this one...

if in fact anyone was working with ted sepreately i would think it would be Dave since they seemed to have a better relationship in the band than ed and ted.

but as we all know in Van Halen land anything is possible...

I can buy EVH and DLR recording at different times but how on earth do you make an album with two producers working separately?

Don't believe that for a second, and yes Dave does have the stronger ties with Ted Templeman. Templeman turned down the "5150" gig to record Dave's "Eat 'Em And Smile", so you know where his priorities lie. Don't believe it guys.

I don't think that Ted chose one over the other did he? I thought he was already booked to do Dave when VH finally approached him, so he had to turn down VH; not as much that he chose Dave over VH.

I remember Ed saying that he was glad bout TED working with DLR, that he wanted to pretty much do 5150 himself. Though he did get some help from Mick Jones (I think Mick) from Foreighner.

If there is a reunion after what happened in 1996, I would say anything that happened 15 years ago is pretty irrelevant

What's up with Van Halen reunion info being on page 7 of the news?

That's front and center on page 1, hardknocks...

I wouldn't say Ted is closer to Dave. Didn't Ted work with VanHalen on Balance? or was it FUCK?
These "rumors" are beginning to make sense. Why else would it be taking so long? If everything was going well you would think they would have accomplished a lot more be now, of course this is speculation, there may indeed be other reasons for the delay but I'm beginning to think we'll see some sort of half assed attempt at a new album and tour. At this point it sounds like they are holding it together just long enough to make a financial killing. Then again I may be completely wrong but I want to hear that they are all in the same room recording live TOGETHER, that's how music is meant to be performed and recorded. that's where inspiration and magic happens, I'm not thrilled about David Lee Roth overdubbing his vocals in a different studio at a different time then the rest of the boys. This whole thing is leaving a bad taste in my mouth And if I see a "featuring DLR" sticker on the cover I'm going to puke.

I'd rather see them move on to something or someone else. I can certainly do without another "Me Wise Magic" regardless of the stellar playing it just doesn't sound right. You can tell it was a mistake, it has bad Karma written all over it.
