Reading all the latest stories and reports is really quite depressing. WE have to do somthing about and for Ed. Does he really deserve all this? I'm not saying we're doing or saying bad things I'm just saying we need to get him HELP! I keep reading the NAMM stuff and HOLY SHIT!

I think he's a bit lost without Val, she as been at his side for a long time. Send Val some flowers from Ed
Better use it up before it gets old!

i think they're to the point where flowers wont help. I'm sure Ed could send her Beach Houses... and it wouldn't do much. He has to find it in himself.

EVH 1979: Well, actually it's not much of a vacation, because we run everything ourselves. We design our own album cover, we have to be in the office every day to sign checks - the whole corporation revolves around us. Nothing can be done without our approval. We even have photo approval.

Since most of what is being discussed or inferred here is Ed's personal business and not really any of ours... all we can do is think positively and extend our support for him respectfully.

I'm sure Ed has family and close personal friends that are looking out for him...

I hope Ed is doing okay and getting along fine, but something tells me he is going down the wrong road.

I wish him well, but I sure dont see any encouraging signs from him.

    The mystery continues.......

Eddie likes to drink more than he liked his family. Do you really think he cares about getting a record out?

He'll only care when he's out of drinking money!

It's not uncommon for a musician to lose his artistsic spark once he's made it and done everything there is to do.

Throw chemical dependency on it, and it's close to hopeless.

It's all so sad but there is nothing anyone can do. Other than a family member having him committed there isn't anything that can be forced on him. We really have no idea what's up with him, we can only speculate. I say keeping the board positive and showing him that his fans are supportive is the best thin we can do for him.
    VHWalkathon - Project 316

EVH: The music is first and foremost. That's the way it's always been and that's the way it will always be. Because without the music, what is there? Nothing. There's nothing without the music. You can't even cop an attitude without the music (laughs).

I dunno, Fab. First single might be entitled "Fuck the Internet" since that's where most of the negativity is unleashed! It would be cool if all of that was cut down, but he really needs some major damage-control for the last couple of years.

All i know is that the way he's going and the fact that his wife left him not to long ago, sad to say, he might be dead before the beginning of summer.

Excellent point, I've heard a lot of people say that after Fair Warning, Ed had lost his edge, he wasn't hungry anymore.

I tend to disagree with the statement somewhat, but considering this 5 year drought, your statement struck me as a good point.

Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett
