That was great. Ed might have his faults, but that factory isn't one of them. He made that all possible.

...I'm also thinking it's about time the VH Store updated their workshirt inventory to include what Chip was sporting there, too.

    Hausman, get on this!

I have a 2009 Vintage White USA Wolfgang and it just kicks ass !!!
I also seem to recall the VH Store having the work shirts !!!

I used to have an original "Balance" "Eddie" 1995 work shirt.
Got it at the show in San Jose.

Were those Charvel or Wolfgang guitars bodies with the stripes?
Had quick look thought they were Charvels.

The USA EVH guitars are built in the Charvel/Jackson custom shop in Ontario/Corona CA. The Charvels and Jacksons are in the video because of that. You can also see several Jackson stickers on some of the equipment.

By the way, this is the same factory that the Charvels and Jacksons of the late 80's were built in and alot of the original builders are still working there. It's no wonder why my EVH Wolf plays alot like some of my newer Charvels.

I toured the Fender factories in Corona and Ensenada about 5 years ago when I was working for a guitar shop, and it's a really fun and interesting joint. The Jackson/Charvel custom shop only takes up a small area, so you get to see everything that's going on in detail when you're there. Man, I wish they had been doing the EVH line at the time, but I still wouldn't trade my tour there for anything. I'll tell you one thing - Fender treated our group like freaking kings and queens. It was work-related, but still probably the best "vacation" I've ever had or ever will. If you look closely when they direct the cameras towards the ceiling, you can see guitars moving along en masse - it reminded me of the doors on the conveyor belts in Monsters, Inc. (LOL), but MUCH cooler.

Hey Wolf not just anyone can get a tour right? It's not open to the public?

It would be better to see a tour of the Interscope factory and see them press the new album.

Unfortunately, no - it's for vendors and product training for their staffs. It was a pretty big deal for me to be selected to go from my company back then. You get to see everything built from square one....electrics and acoustics, amps... all the way down to string manufacturing. We got tour the Fender Custom Shop too, which was great for learning trade secrets and meeting some really talented master builders and icons in the industry. Even the plant in Mexico was really impressive - attention to detail and quality control are fantastic within Fender. Then you have classroom training sessions on products as well. It's a shame it's not open to the public, but I can't imagine how they would keep up with requests at the same time.

I never took that big trek to Ensenada, but I did go to Fender amp training in Corona one time. It was worth it, as there was also a tour of the entire facility, but my only complaint would be that they were really pushing the Cyber Twin--which I'm pretty sure has been completely discontinued--so that part was a waste.

But to see that whole facility was great. I'd love to see it again.
