Default 200-pound third-grader taken from mother

CLEVELAND (AP) - An Ohio third-grader who weighs more than 200 pounds has been taken from his family and placed into foster care after county social workers said his mother wasn't doing enough to control his weight.

The Plain Dealer reports that the Cleveland 8-year-old is considered severely obese and at risk for such diseases as diabetes and hypertension.

The case is the first state officials can recall of a child being put in foster care strictly for a weight-related issue.

Lawyers for the mother say the county overreached when authorities took the boy last week. They say the medical problems he is at risk for do not yet pose an imminent danger.

A spokeswoman says the county removed the child because caseworkers saw his mother's inability to reduce his weight as medical neglect.

Although that fat fuck from India is funny. Could be wrong about the country though. The best one is the fat child vid that someone rolled up years ago on the tube singing "peanut butter jelly time." Yes I know the tons of fun wasn't singing it. But he vid is hilarious. Out.

Outside of fat kids, some kids today are just f***ing huge.

I'm a big dude, six three, 225, but damn, there are kids in the fifth grade who are bigger than I was as a freshman in college.

There is an eleven year old (fifth grade) on my son's football team that is five foot six, 188 pounds, not fat, with a size TWELVE mens shoe. He just turned eleven last month.

His dad wears a shirt that says "really, my son is only eleven years old".

And he is in no way the biggest kid in my sons league.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yeah kids today are huge compared to when I was a kid. Not all of them are fat slobs though. I've got a 10 YO nephew that's 5'-6" & 170+. He's on the pudgy side but he's a monster on the football field & his parents have to carry his birth certificate to all of his games. The funny/sad part is there's 2 others his size on the same team so they only get to play every 3rd play as having all 3 of them on the field at once has caused problems in the past. They won their regional championship last Monday & the state game is this Saturday.

I knew a kid that as a preschooler was huuuuuuuge. off the charts on height and weight. He was adorable tho......curly blond hair and a cherubic face

problem was people just meeting him thought he was much older than he was and thought he should be capable of talking to them on a higher level...he seemed like a developmentally delayed 6 year old instead of a normal 3 year old

you had to keep reminding yourself how young he was

Once he reached high school age, he was just a normal sized kid...normal height and slimmed down, you never would have known

Yep. Been there done that w/ my nephew. At 6 he was the size of or maybe even bigger than most 11-12 year olds and to a stranger, he probably seemed slow.

I had to hoist him over my shoulder & carry him 50 yards or so once when he was about 4 and weighed 90 lbs. I ain't no punk but dang. If he'd shifted his weight the wrong way, I'd still be in a cast.
