Rolling Stone Magazine Greatest Guitarist List -2011

Hey gang. Here goes Rolling Stone again. They are about to release their "Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list this week for publication. This time they enlisted GUITAR Players to help bring credibility to this list.

It so happens that Eddie Van Halen will be ranked # 8 of all time on this list. That is some "Jump" (ha ha) from the #70 treatment he received in 2003. You know that list? The one that ranked Cobain, Joan Jett, and Jack White ahead of him?

Being ranked #8 is respectable, however Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, BB King, and Chuck Berry are ranked higher. Not Ok.

I just got it in the mail, and Eddie is on the cover. Pretty cool. Seems to be a sort of admission that maybe the f'd up the last list.

Pete doesn't suck. You've never listened to Live at Leeds if you think that.

To be fair, I like Ginny's thread topic way more than the other one. The other one had me wondering what sort of Van Halen - Jefferson's connection I'd be reading about.

This was a joke based on the other thread going on the same subject. Just thought I'd clarify.
