Although I dig the first album more, I like what they did with this song. Its not really something that has really been done before.

And its definitely a powerful song live.

This album isn't as fun as the first. I admire them for putting together this song, even though I find it really depressing. The playing is really good.

Huge thumbs up! This song sounds so bad when you heard the concept, yet is so good. My favorite Chickenfoot song right now.

Get rid of it, and put Dubai Blues in the set.

    It's more fun.

If Sammy is passionate about this then I guess they can keep it. But at least still do D.B.

The song is ok but certainly not one of my favorites. I like the idea behind it but don't dig it as much as 'Bigfoot' or 'Come Closer'.

While not nearly as bad, it is CF's version of How Many Say I. Honestly the worst song that Sammy has done in VH and CF.

However it appears people like it so I guess I am wrong.

I prefer when Sam writes these kind of lyrics about getting a job...

Now listen here. It's not what you are, ya see, it's how ya dress
'Cuz that's one thing I learned from these guys, I must confess
Now me look, I got this job not just bein' myself, huh!
I went out I bought some brand new shoes
Now I walk like someone else, hey!

A lot more fun than people complaining about not having a job. Sam's response should be to get out there and take control of your life.

With that said, it is a powerful song on some level even if I don't really like the message of the existence of class of Americans that are victims of a unjust system.
If you want a little peace, sometimes you got to fight
We got to walk through the darkness
Before we stand in the light.

HUGE THUMBS DOWN for me, the only song I always skip over on the whole album. But hey, what the hell, out of the 23 songs they've put out so far, to only not like 3 of them (the other two being Avenida and Bitten By the Wolf) is pretty damn good I'd say. Long live the Foot!
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"A lot of bands mature, which means they get square; they start delivering messages. Hey, you got a message, use Western Union." -DLR

Love it.....very moving song, can't really say that about the rest.

I love that it is a bit odd, and not your normal song.

This song really has some teeth, and it very appropriate for the times.

have to pretty much agree with you. the sentiment is great, but the delivery ruins it.

My least favorite song by them.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!
