Default Terrible Songs From Great Bands

OK.....It's been kind of a heavy mood on the Links over the past bit, so to lighten things up and get away from political right/left crap, the economy, and simple questions like "which is the one true faith?" I task my fellow linkers with the simple question:
What is the worst song from an otherwise great band or solo artist?
I'm not talking marginally bad, like "Ahhhh, that kinda sucks a bit dude".
I'm talking genuine utility grade turkeys that never should have been conceived and released, or boggle the mind how they made it into the general population, and by some miracle became a "classic".
I'm thinking great/good rock & roll bands, or rockers that were great but went limp, here guys.......Not Celine Dion or Rebecca Black....That would be cheating.
    (VH included of course.)

A couple of mine, then let the games begin.

ZZ Top: Manic Mechanic (from the riff that digs into your brain like a feral parasite, to the weird slowed down vocals....just hate this song, and always have.)

Bryan Adams: I Wanna Be Your Underwear (From the lame-ass title...It doesn't get any better from there......Just saw off your testicles with a butter knife...It would be less painful... and have a nice day. Pussy.)

VH: How Many Say I (There's no skating around this one...It just suuuuuuuuuuucks! I ate a bowl of Alpha Bits once, and crapped out better lyrics with practically no effort on my part. )

Hard figuring out what would be considered a great band. Generally known bands, that had a decent length career is about all I can go by.
And these are just my opinions, since I have a hard time "hating" a lot of songs. I may dislike a lot of them, but the only ones I truly hate are because I have heard them a million times over and over(Jump, Stairway, Floyd's Money.......u get the idea).

there's a real turd on one of the Use Your Illusion albums, not sure which one though....I think the song is called My World.

Starship - We Built This City

Metallica - The whole St Anger album can't count I guess, so just the song itself will represent the whole album.

Bob Seger - Shakedown.....it just doesn't seem like the kind of music he would do.....it's just not the same as the rest, and I can't get through it without thinking wtf was he thinking.

Obviously HMSI is a given, so I think we can pretty much skip it the rest of this thread.

All I can think of at the moment.
    Good thing to know:

You guys are killing me! And "Manic Mechanic" rocks - it's a joke, a bit of levity. It would be one thing if they were trying to do a serious song and it came out like that, but...has ZZ Top ever done a serious song?

Most of the songs on You're Getting Even While I'm Getting Odd by J. Geils Band

Some of the stuff that KISS came out with after the makeup came off

Some of the stuff from McCartney II ("Temporary Secretary", "Dark Room") and some of the stuff that didn't make the final cut

"Sing This All Together (See What Happens)" from the Rolling Stones

Heart's live version of "Unchained Melody"

    among others

How could you list "The Trees" from Rush??? It's one of their best songs, there's a consensus about it among fans.

Used to like it back in the day but yeah, I can see why someone would say that. From the Doors I would go with Love Street. That song is....wow.

Immediately 'Numb' comes to mind. A true "what were they thinking?" song. Total garbage.

Also agree with We Built This City. Horrible song. So gay, even for then.

I'll add "Abracadabra" by Steve Miller. Fucking awful.

VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

It don't get better than lemon. Yikes! That one not only sucks, but the video creeps you out with it's imagery and pretentiousness.

Haha! I know Manic's a joke tune, but maybe it just rubbed me and just about everyone i know who's heard it and hearing so often, and the fact it's infectious as hell to a fault. That tune plays in your head hours after you hear it weather you want it there or not.
blee-baba-blee-baba-bleeblee! Haha! There it is again! "That's right"

Love that tune, but it has more to do with a time in my life than the song itself.
