Default Where do you listen to Van Halen?

Lets hear where you typically listen to Van Halen nowadays. Is it in the car, home stereo? CD? Records? Cassettes? Ipod? Phone? Digital? Mix Tape? In order of release? Have one or two favs albums? In the living room? Bedroom? Garage? okay, enough examples, you get the idea.

I typically listen to VH in my livingroom on my computer that is hooked up to my TV as I enjoy watching Live concerts/bootlegs, and then have their albums on digital format. I find drinking helps enjoy the watching of the bootlegs because of the horrible quality of most of them.

I go thru phases of listening to full albums, I like to hear the songs in their order as intended. So if Im listening to VH II I dont listen to other albums until I find myself thinking about another song or something triggers a memory, then I go listen to that full album. Like there was a thread here talking about Aftershock, (I think in the Chickenfoot area) and that got me going to Balance and listenng to that full album and watching those era live boots.

    I know, Im weird.

In the car is my second place, but I currently listening to Chickenfoot III there.

My car and the gym is about the only two places I listen to music.

I will listen to my iPod on shuffle in the car, and in the gym I usually listen to whatever covers we are working on now.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Like Al Pacino said in the Devil's Advocate
    "EVERYWHERE !"
"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone

"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and Ive got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth

WOLFGANG did the IMPOSSIBLE, he brought back VAN HALEN, DEAL WITH IT.

    On cassette in my car.
Any musicians near Boston / Cape Cod want to get together and play some VH? I play drums, guitar, keyboard, bass, and I sing. I want to start a VH tribute band. Contact me if interested.

I have a room dedicated to all things music.
My guitar, amp, and effects are in there
My drum set is in there
My stereo is in there. I mostly play along with stuff on my drums but I watch a lot of youtube vids at the computer that is in another part of the house.

So as a musician, you tend to do more listening while "noodling" along? I wonder if others do that. I am sure some do. Thats actually a different way to listen to music than I thought about. Especially Van Halen music, which is what I was asking about.

I like to watch/hear the live aspect of the band, in its infinate forms/ play the songs I know so well from the recordings. I listen and like to watch how they perform and change a little thing... or how they do it the same everytime. I think as a live band, I enjoy Van Halen a lot; only because I known their recorded stuff so well.

    Interesting.
I usually listen to VH in the car these days. Especially 1984, 5150, and FW. Great driving tunes.
Funny enough, even though I have a studio, it's pretty much a VH free zone musically., aside from pics and stuff. I guess because I'm so easily tempted to fall into jamming all my favorite Eddie licks, and adjusting my amp setting and style to match that, and it just ends up being counter productive for me. I get off playing a bunch of riffs and stuff, then I'm not really into writing anymore.
I dunno....I'm still a kid at heart I guess, so the VH is anywhere a guitar isn't!

I listen to my cds in the truck and also my home stereo in my living room. At home I crank it all the way up while shooting pool and drinking beer. Then, when I'm feeling good and loose, I slap the headphones on and get behind my drums and pretend I'm Alex for an hour or two. Sometimes I'm a little too "loose" if I've had too much to drink but, ehh, it's all good and my neighbors are all cool and understand my VH obsession haha.

Mine all Mine...Black and Blue.... Somewhat forgotten B-Sides i guess.... anyway... just my story for the Day... go listen to OU812 if you havent in awhile....
