That looks like a bootleg, surprised you can find it on Amazon.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

I'm amazed at how many bootlegs are sold on Amazon. They're all over the place there.

Judging by the reviews, it doesn't seem worth buying.

My point is that I don't think it's worth buying regardless of how great it is. IT'S A BOOTLEG.

Would be interested to hear an audience recording of the US fest.

    Is that what this is?

The actual video soundboard audio we all know is rather painful after a while.

There are 3 songs that i know of anyway that were mixed for radio and do sound great!
Too bad the whole show isn't available in that mix.

Those songs...they were heavily touched in the studio with whole parts re-recorded.

The only "Pretty Woman" US fest versions i can find on youtube are the Cinemax versions with the same audio.

Doesn't look or sound touched up to me.

    But maybe it's that good!

I'm surprsed this is on Amazon as well. There was a YES: Live On Air that was supposed to be realeased on Amazon on 10-11 but it was taken down a week ago. The cover wasnt even right. It had Steve Howe on it but only Trevor Rabin plays on it. lol

    Ask and you shall receive....

This is my audio recording dubbed over the bootleg video footage, that's my friend and I are talking at the tail end of the song.

I've never really traded my recording because we talked a lot over some of the songs which was kind of distracting at times when you listen to the recording. I used the same setup I used when I recorded the 6/21/81 show which has been widely traded through the years which was an AIWA tape deck on my belt and a pair of those tiny sugar cube sized mics that I'd clip or tape on my shoulders or a baseball cap so I could enjoy a show with minimal fuss. I got the entire VH set including the pre-show "interview" they had on the tv screens prior to Van Halen coming on.

I was with 3 friends and we were about 100 feet back from the stage at the beginning of the set and the heat (even at about 10pm) and the crush even at that distance quickly made us move much further back around Alex's drum solo to about mid-field where we stayed the rest of the show.

    T.B.
