    Default Very Strange Guitar Tuning

We were learning the song Roam by the B-52's for a gig, and I came across the following about the B-52's original guitarist's tunings and thought some of you guys might find it interesting.

As a self-taught guitarist, Wilson created his own tunings, grouping the strings of his Mosrite guitar into a bass course (usually tuned to fifths for strumming) and a treble course (often tuned in unison), removing the middle two strings entirely, though sometimes he played with five strings as well.

I would assume to make that work he would have to use an open tuning for the two or three "guitar part" strings of the guitar?
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

Any musicians near Boston / Cape Cod want to get together and play some VH? I play drums, guitar, keyboard, bass, and I sing. I want to start a VH tribute band. Contact me if interested.

We used to play Rock Lobster years ago, and I remember the tuning to be such a pain in the ass, we dropped it from our play list.

I am filling in a friend's band at the end of the month, and I am playing songs I would normally never play, but when a friend calls, you answer.

I wouldn't normally be caught dead playing songs like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and of course..."Jump!".

They usually post their shows on YouTube, and I will NOT be posting the link here for you donkeys to see!

Seasick Steve tunes his 3-stringed guitar C-G-C!

I have one tuned (low to high) C A D G B E although I only use it for 1 song in our set.
