I would have much rather preferred a promo video for Somebody Get Me A Doctor rather than You're No Good.

The audio doesn't match the Fresno show.....must be from another gig.

It's hard to believe there is still lost footage out there....It's too bad the internet hadn't been around in 1978.....for that matter HD video cameras.

    Loved it
"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone

"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and I´ve got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth

I have never understood why Van Halen have always disregarded their history as a band. You see volumes of archived footage, boxed sets, official band documentaries, from every era of a band's history. Van Halen is a legendary band in my opnion with a vast treasure trove to pull from. Are they not proud of their legacy? Bootlegs are all we get? Who cares about this person being in the band as opposed to that person. What difference does it make when you are proud? If Edward is all about the money these days then for heaven's sake maximize your profits and in turn give us something to celebrate.

Precisely why I DON"T think he's all about money. When they tour, do an album, etc., yeah he (and all the members) wants to maximize their profit potential, but I don't think accumulating more and more money is his primary motivation in life. If it were, he'd be hawking more than just guitars and clothing as it seems to me revenue from such things pales in comparison to what "Van Halen" can generate.

Sure would be cool if VH had a DVD set like Led Zeppelin's. It's awesome, and LZ didn't like to be filmed that much. I was blown away when I watched that the first time.

That's what I am talking about. I too was blown away. I never seen anything like that from LZ other than TSRTS movie. The "mystique" of VH is long gone and never to return, so there is no reason to just sit on this stuff anymore. Hell, a band like KISS can document every era of their history and put it out for the fans to enjoy but VH can't? They still act like they are relevant and can skip promoting themselves.

Good point, I find it hard to believe that Zeppelin has more filmed shows than Van Halen.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!
