The show sounded great, Mike. Everybody knowing the words is an encouraging sign.

(Hopefully, Dave remembers them this time around, too. LOL.)

Good luck on the follow up. You just keep cementing that "insider" status of yours.

I was at that show, too! Man, that was the most fun I've had in a long time!

The Punks had every detail covered. They opened with "Romeo Delight" and the singer even "forgot the fuckin words" during the second verse, in true Dave fashion. Ralph Saenz could pass for Dave's twin brother. He had the look, and more importantly, he SOUNDED damn good. He had the screams down pat! They played EVERY SONG off the first album, and they even took requests towards the end of the show. My buddy asked them to play "The Full Bug" and they did! He even got pulled up onstage to sing the end of "Ice Cream Man"!

They played ALL the good stuff from the Dave-era: Mean Street, Panama, DOA, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Hot For Teacher, Little Guitars, Pretty Woman, So This Is Love, Unchained, Cradle Will Rock, Everybody Wants Some, and like I mentioned before, every song off the 1st album. Even "Feel Your Love Tonight", "Little Dreamer" and "On Fire"!

Like Mike L. said, the place was packed (even though it was like 10-below ZERO outside) and the crowd was INTO it! There are more Halen fans in Minnesota than I thought. I really believe now that when VH finally gets the new album and tour rolling, it's gonna be huge, because a lot of people are waiting for it.

I urge everyone to JUMP at the chance to see these guys! It was the best 8-bucks I've spent in a while!

(Mike L., my hearing is shot, too. I think today is going to be one of those stay-home-and-try-to-recover type days.)

That's cool that you guys went!!! I have been a huge fan of the Punks for about 2 years now. Ralph has DLR down pat.

That's cool that the club was packed too....maybe you guys can see more of them.
Bad for me, cuz that means they might stop coming to Phoenix so often.

Got to see them again on Friday night. They played for over 2 hours. They just keep getting better every time I see them.

Awsome show! The place was packed, and everybody knew the words. Ralph Saenz really knows how to work the crowd! My ears are just shot right now. Loud as hell. For those of you that haven't seen the, GO!

Ralph says DLR is back. One of the local DJs was at the show, and claims to have heard one of the new tunes. He claims 3 months or so until the release. I'll see if I can't follow up.

Do these guys play just a certain area of the U.S., because I have never heard of a show by the Punks up here in the Northeast. I wish they would play a show up here because I would definately go see them.

Well, they are based out of LA. They play in San Diego, LA, Las Vegas and Phoenix alot.
They have been known to go up to Seattle every now and then. I believe that this is the first time they have ventured away from the west coast. Maybe someday they will head to the east coast.

It's SO cool that they're playing out in the Midwest! The fans have been asking for it for YEARS. They couldn't have picked a better time, either. EVERYONE is jonesing for some Classic VH.
