Love Warmoth's Quality...but they are not as receptive to custom touches these days. used to be able to get quite a few custom features, like wire size, contour, skunk stripe options, but now it's far less selection. Sometimes you get lucky in the showcase.
Got a Musikraft neck last year for a build I did for a friend.......Absolutely excellent quality and finish. Bolted right up snug in a stock Strat pocket...No issues at all. Gonna order a few more this year for a Tele build, a 5150 (neck and body), and a Super Strat. Can't comment on Kyle's stuff first hand, but from what I've seen and heard, he's a great builder.
    Not tried USACG.

KNE necks I really love. Have them on two of my guitars and they're my favorite guitars to play. I know they weren't mentioned but just throwing it out there.

I actually swapped out a Warmoth neck for the KNE.

I can't speak about USACG, but as far as the others, in my opinion, they ALL make a top quality product. You should, therefore, make an informed choice based on price, communication and delivery time.

I'm pretty sure that Lee "outsources" his necks. I have no idea who the actual manufacturer is, though. I know that back in the Strat head days, he also used Warmoth necks. My Dweezil VH II has one.

    I believe it!
    Cool.
    Yeah maybe it's a Warmoth.
I used to own a Warmoth neck in the 90's and it was great!

Yep! +1 The late 80's and 90's were a great time for Warmoth. I used to love their necks. You could order pretty much any fretwire, weather or not you wanted a maple neck one piece with skunk stripe, or two piece mapleboard.
The contour was always negotiable...i remember sending them a neck and they pretty much duplicated it.
I think a couple factors changed their operation a bit...One was they got far more automated, so having to swap out programs and tooling for one offs simply became downtime for them, and most folks basically just order what they offer anyway....Not stringent detail freaks like some of us! The second and most important being the economy taking a huge dump.
Back in 06' 07' even there were pages and pages of bodies and necks available in their showcase. Now it's a very small amount in comparison.
Obviously they had to eliminate the overhead and sell off what they had surplus of. Not a bad business decision.
One other thing that probably cut into their willingness to do some stuff that they openly offered before was the rather letigeous environment in the guitar world these days. When you have Fender a year or so back attempting to go after anyone who replicated or approximated the Strat shape (Though til now unsuccessfully), and who else would follow? They at least have a licence deal with Fender I believe for replacement neck, bodies, and parts, but Gibson? PRS? They don't have any deals with them, and they have been copying their body and headstock shapes as long as I can remember, though they are bolt-ons, but hey......The shape's still there.

They discontinued their EVH EBMMish bodies and necks because Sterling was going after other builders openly copying the design.

However...Make no mistake, Warmoth still do make a great neck, and do offer some options that should make you very happy, but if options is what you are after, then Musikraft, and KNE as Brett mentioned are very good choices. Check out KNE's site if you have not already, and take a look at the order form for their necks. Very detailed with about every option in the book except power steering!

Best part for me is that Mitch (KNE) is 20 miles away, I just drive to his house and pick up my necks.

Was a bit disappointed with a Warmoth neck I bought a few years back. Had a reverse Pre-CBS headstock strat neck made with the Wolfgang rear. Didn't have the feel to it I was looking for considering I really did my homework on neck shapes, radius measurements, fret wire sizes, etc. But I think it is relative. They make great stuff. Nice to deal with as well. It's probably like going from guitar to guitar. Most feel a little different and some of those idiosyncrasies are what we like and what we don't. Almost like going from car to car with a manual transmission (a lot of those don't feel the same either). Not to mention every piece of wood feels different to me.

Sounds funny, but I bought a Mighty Might compound neck for a Frankie 1 replica and that was great. Was totally shocked.

Actually, I've got a few Mighty Mite necks that are FANTASTIC. They aren't as good as my Scott Fletcher necks, or my Peavey Wolfgang neck, but they are still incredible, especially for the price.

The problem with Mighty Mites is the inconsistency from dealer to dealer. Most places online (for the last 10 years of so) get them in from the factory, and then ship them out to customers. So they have no fretwork, etc. I know the guy who's been the overall #1 dealer of Mighty Mite guitar parts 4 out of the last 7 years or something like that. His shop ordered huge, custom orders of necks (he orders enough that he could order different wood, neck specs, etc., just for his shop), and they would go over every neck by hand, do a full fret job, and set aside necks that looked funny or had flaws. Problem is, when you'd order a neck from him, it was the same price as the other dealers, so most people who weren't local didn't know better.

Unfortunately, due to things beyond his control, he's not a Mighty Mite dealer anymore, and I no longer feel comfortable recommending their necks to anyone. But if you got one in the past 10 years or so from a certain ebay store, you might have one fantastic neck!

I also used to use Mighty Mite necks in the mid 90's and they were ok necks.
I remember they needed a great set of tuners to stay in tune.

Aren't they the same necks that come on or used to come on MIM Fenders?

I have a KNE banana neck on a KNE 5150 body. First, Mitch's communication by email was always instantaneous and helpful. The neck plays great but had a couple of minor issues I resolved myself during install. If I had been pickier about this build, I would have tested their customer service more by seeing what he would have done about it and I'm sure he would have helped. I can still say I'm confident with KNE necks.
