    Fly on the wall, sorry....

    10. In the studio with Jan Van Halen on Big Bad Bill.
    9. Eddie's call to Claudio
    8. Eddie's wedding (with the entire band)
    7. The San Berdino Sheriff telling Dave that these mother fuckers are out of line (OK, that probably never happened)
    6. When Ed was playing drums, Al on the Guitar
    5. The entire US Festival
    4. When Eddie played the riff for Jump and left it on Ted Templeman's phone machine
    3. Whisky in Hollywood, 1977 New years ("Just What you Wanted")
    2. Watching Dave direct the video "Pretty Woman"
    1. Eddie's drunk call to Sammy telling him that Dave is back and they are doing some songs with him, and that Sammy isn't part of the band, etc.

    I'll add to this:

-The sessions with Dave in 2000

    -The Mitch Malloy Sessions

-Sam's first trip to Ed's house in preparation for the '04 tour

-The Oklahoma City show in '04 in which Eddie allegedly went postal backstage and scared little Wolfie to the point he was hiding out in Sam's dressing room

-The flight Ed and Al took after the final '04 tour date, on which Sam declines to elaborate in his book, but said he was told some bad stuff went down

-Ed's "Beat It" sessions (arguably the greatest pop star and arguably the greatest rock star in the same room? Yes, please.)

    -Any Mammoth/Red Ball Jet show
If it's BROWN, flush it DOWN.

    GO STEELERS!

Wait, what? I never heard of either of those. Man, that first one sounds unbelievably awful.

    I would add:

    - The Fair Warning sessions

    - Texxas Jam '78 and Day on the Green '78

    - Just about any show in '91 or '93

    - The Nirvana concert where Eddie showed up drunk

In his book, Sam says he invited Toby Keith to make a surprise appearance during Sam's solo spot so they could sing "I Love This Bar" together. To make a long story short, Sam says it incensed Ed so much Toby was only going to play with Sam and not the whole band, he went on a violent spree backstage after the show, pretty much ripping apart his dressing room.

    2. See #1.

    3. In young EVH's garage, or wherever he practiced at home, the first time he tapped notes on the fretboard with his right hand and said, "Hmmm..."

    4. See #1.

I'd like to be in the room with their management when the words "sure just split it 4 ways" were first spoken. Those words caused the internal issues with VH more than anything else.

The exact event(s) that would lead to Ed eventually think "the bass player isn't pulling his weight around here".

The WACF recording sessions and the gig that Ted Templeman and Mo Ostin saw that made em sign the band afterwards.

    -The recording of every album.

-Every single jam session Eddie & Alex have had with their famous musician friends.
Q: Recording the album took so long your Australian tour last year was cancelled. What was it like in the studio? There's a history of tension between you and Eddie Van Halen...

DLR: It was like a stand off in a Chuck Norris movie. We each had the laser dot on everybody's forehead waiting for the other guy to blink. Except for Wolfie, he had a Super Soaker ...

I agree with #3 all the way. Number one sounds good, but what the hell can you do to her as a fly. I will be BREW CREW in the shower with her!

    I like this one. ^

I agree with LL and would also like to see the exact moment when Edward decided Mikey wasn't good enough to stay in the band.

I would also like to be there when Edward came up with the bunny-brained idea to kick Mikey out and replace him with his son Wolfie so I could dump Smokin Loon over his head and snap him out of it.

I would like to be at 5150 and tell them the album is finished and to release it already.

Lastly, I would like to be there when the idiots were altering the album covers to remove Mikey and replace him with Wolfie so I could unplug the computer and/or land in their drinks.
