    Default Wolfie's Influence

Given that I assume that it is taken as pretty much fact that Wolfie, who probably has a good respect for classic VH and classic rock as a whole, was a major influence on his father to make things right with Dave and start touring and producing albums again, I'm wondering if there will be a chance in the future that he'll talk his father into letting him (Wolfie) step aside and let Mike come back, even if just for one more album/tour. I get that Wolfie is probably really enjoying touring and playing with VH, but surely has enough respect for classic VH for there to be hope. I get it how many people are put off that he's even in the band (and that Mike is out); myself included. But I see it as a positive because I believe he's the reason why they're about to put out new music and touring again. But I also remain optimistic that we'll see Mikey again with the band largely because of Wolfie.

    What does everyone think?
If it sounds like bull shit, feels like bull shit, and appears to be bull shit, it's probably Eddie talking about his new lead singer being his new brother at a press conference...

I think we will see VH with Mikey in the fold in the near future, I hate to say cash grab, but having Mike, Dave, Alex and Edward on tour would be a huge money maker. Release a live DVD of that tour and most of us VH fans would be jizzing til the cows come home.

First off, I don't blame Wolfie for a second. If my dad were as famous a musician and he invited me to join the band, I'd be there in a heartbeat. Extenuating circumstances aside, everybody should take advantage of such a situation should it arise. If he's really the drive behind getting the VH train rolling again, then he has credit in my book. He had nothing to do with Mike being pushed aside, that was his father's doing.

As far as a reunion, the way Sammy talks, I'm sure we'll eventually see all of them on a stage together at some point. Hopefully, it won't be a cash grab tour. That's BS and that's what the last two tours were about. That left a bad taste in my mouth. The reunion should be a charity event of some sort and a one time event.

    With this band...anything can happen.
I would love to see a tour...even one show with Dave, Sam, Gary, Ed, Al, Mike and Wolfie.

Considering that he was just busted for entertaining the notion that he is better than Michael Anthony, I don't think I agree with the above and therefore making the whole premise moot.

He retweeted a comment about being better than Mike. I doubt he cares about him coming back.

I do not believe that Mike will ever play with Ed again. That ship has sailed and will never return to port.

I also do not believe that Wolf has much respect for Classic VH at all. If he did, he would never have taken the gig. He knows what the fans think and what the fans want.

I don't think Wolf gives one shit about what the fans want. He gets to play music that is hugely legendary and play with his dad. He's not quitting that gig, what son would? And Ed wants him there, he doesn't want Mike around. And Mike doesn't want to play with Ed either.

It's over. These topics keep getting brought up about Mike coming back. He's not coming back.

I think it's a pretty safe assumption to think that Ed would be happier playing in a band with his brother and son than he would with his brother and Michael. Given this, I find no reason to think that Wolfie would motivate Ed to get back together with Michael. Why would he? To make his father LESS happy? Wolfie doesn't owe anything to Michael.

And before anyone mentions the "legacy" of VH, well if Dave is ok with him not in the band and the brothers are ok with not in the band, why would Wolfie give a fuck?

As for "it'll make huge money bringing Mike back". I'm not sure this is even the case, I don't think this band is all that much more marketable with Mike than they are without him at this point. And any "extra" that Mike might bring to the table via sales he would take with him via his cut.

I think Wolfie's only influence on this band is as a motivation for his father and this led to Dave's return. I don't think it's any more than that. Ed is still the driving force of this band by all accounts.

Exactly. And he doesn't give a fuck. Fuck he already enjoys poking fun at Mike on Twitter, even if it was a nothing thing. He still did it. So come on...done...very done.

so you're expecting a guy who wasn't alive for any CVH to have more respect for it than the guys who were actually in the band?
