Heres the trailer for the reboot of Spiderman. When I first heard about this, I wasnt all that crazy about it but after watching the trailer, I may have changed my mind.

The new Peter Parker looks a little douchy. The first-person shots were kinda cool.

Feels too "CW". I think Sam Raimi's movies got it right. Don't understand why they're doing this.

I'm there. This looks really good, with a story that will stretch over several movies most likely.

Was that Sally Field as Aunt May!

She's aging--I don't get how she'll play Mary Todd to Day Lewis's Abraham in Spielberg's Lincoln. We also say Martin Sheen, Dennis Leary, and a completey-gray Campbell Scott in that trailer

I like Andrew Garfield. He was good in the Social Network, and I did not like the last Spiderman series. Peter Parker is supposed to be a little nerdy/douchie, if I am not mistaken, and I think Garfield can balance between that and "hero".

Maybe this time they'll actually use the STP song they rejected in favor of "Hero," for the last Spiderman reboot. Wishful thinking.

    hmmm mixed feelings...

I liked the orginal ones, at least the first one. so keep wondering why they
think they need to keep redoing the same things over and over and over....
Some will answer "until they get it right", but they rarely do.

but a darker version will get me to the theater, so I am intrigued.

This looks way better than the other films.
Although i only saw "Spider-man 3" because it was on tv a few times.
    Never saw 1 and 2.

I like the 1977 live action TV show.

    Wait..

This isn't coming out for another year!

Sam Raimi and his cast did a great job, time to pass the torch. Marvel has a franchise to protect. It will be really good. Root for peter Parker.com

I don't buy into the whole darker=better line of thought. I want realism with super hero movies. If the story and characters are realistic, I'm much more likely to suspend my disbelief when the hero is crawling up walls or flying around.

The first Spider-Man with Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst accomplished this. Good story, believable characters.

Plus, it had Macho Man Randy Savage in it. There's no need for a re-boot.

I'm helping out this dude at work with his computer a few weeks back, and he's got anything and everything Randy Savage stuck to his cubicle walls. I'm no wrestling fan, but I'm a huge fan of the first Spidey flick. I ask the guy if he's seen it.

    Dumb question.

Without missing a beat, he belts out "BOOOOOOONESAW IS REEEEEAAADY!!!"

You saw the only one in the series that sucked....IMO. 1 was good, 2 was great. 3 was a mistake.

To me, 1 was decent. I get so tired of multiple personalities, and the whole Dafoe talking to himself in a mirror was just unintentionally funny. Ad the scenes that were completely CG (including Spiderman), and I left thinking "meh, not terrible, not great".

Then, the second was again alright but unintentionally funny again when Molina was talking to his tentacles/arms.

I didn't even see the third.

I'll give this one a shot, though.
