Default Van Halen producer comments on album! "van halen is on fire"

    from blabbermouth:

Producer Says VAN HALEN Is 'On Fire' And 'At The Top Of Their Game' On Forthcoming Album - July 11, 2011

Producer/engineer Ross Hogarth recently spoke to Ultimate-Guitar.com about his work on the new VAN HALEN album, the band's first release with singer David Lee Roth since 1984. The group has been in the studio recording since January, following its massively successful 2007/2008 reunion world tour with Roth back on the mic.

"The whole VAN HALEN record has been recorded and we're all excited," Hogarth said. "We have just started mixing the record. I'm really stoked about it, as it is the original band, Eddie [Van Halen, guitar] and Alex [Van Halen, drums] with Wolf [Eddie's son] playing bass, and David Lee Roth singing, it's the killing side of VAN HALEN at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire."

I thought we heard this quote a while ago. This isn't new, but maybe new to blabbermouth.

Anyone else tired of hearing from people who either work for Van Halen, are friends with Van Halen, or have a stake in the album itself telling us that the band is “on fire”, etc.

Play us a clip already so I judge for myself if the fire department needs to be called.

Has any producer ever said, “Yeah, the product is kind of lame and generally very mediocre. These guys are old and rusty and it really shows on the new album that I’m producing”?

why say it's the "original band" then say Wolfie is on it? It's a contridiction.

I won't say anything until I hear it. I do think it's kind of neat that they went back to the old demo's but I think it opens the door for alot of critisism.

I'm just going to go ahead and focus on the positive in this: someone officially involved in the process has actually directly confirmed the album is happening and that it is almost done. Fuckin A!
The song ain't dirty it's really just the way we sing it...

It ain't original if MA isn't in the band. Give us a snippet of something - I don't think I can last 'til the fall...

LMAO. They really do think we're stupid.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

True. The only person involved with a creative project that said effectually
"it's not that good" was Kevin DuBrow talking about QR's MH follow-up. Of
    course he was right.

But generally, if someone involved doesn't like their own project, they'll
have creative answers like "it's been a real challenge, but I learned a lot."
I don't know him, but don't think he's gonna go outta his way to say he's
"stoked" and they are "killing". Seems like honest enthusiasm.

But yeah, said "killing side" comment is at least a week or two old.

You are correct with respect us Van Halen freaks; however, the rest of the casual fans could care less. They want Dave and Eddie. End of story...
