We’re hoping to have a single out sometime very soon — hopefully in July. Why wait? We’re hoping to have the album out sometime in the fall.
    Hopefully.

That is a great interview. The guy actually asked relevant questions that the more serious fans are interested in. For example, there was no questions about how MA feels about Wolfgang replacing him or how he found out that he wasn’t in the band, who’s better Eddie or Joe, etc.

Looking forward to "Different Devil." Sounds like Sam had an epiphany for that one, similar to how he came up with "Cabo Wabo" and "Best of Both Worlds."

Kinda surprised as this is the first time he's gone a little negative. Not that
it bothers me in the least, because it's all pretty honest and who could blame
him? I mean, solo Dave doing a VH act was pretty cheesy and pathetic.

    Mike, I like your candor.

The song titles (so far) show an improvement compared to the debut. "Astral Years," "Different Devil," "Ain't Got You, I Got The Two-By Blues" - very promising from the little info we got.

A few words that made me wonder a bit- "Heavy" ok, I can deal with heavy. "Dark" I'm not so sure about. That sort of sounds like Peephole to me. The song sounds great musically, but I won't listen to it because of the nature of the lyrics.

I bet it's musically. Sam just usually doesn't write dark lyrics unless he's pressured by someone to do it, like in DTMWLCD.

"Remember The Heroes" is certainly a somber song with great lyrics and great music. What I'm sure of is that Sam is incapable of writing a WHOLE album of dark lyrics.

Ultimate Classic Rock issued an addendum (mentioned in the other thread) to its Michael Anthony interview: "... his original answer, which was accurately quoted ... sounds harsher isolated in print than it did as one very small part of a wide-ranging, upbeat and positive verbal conversation." It also says that Chickenfoot "has decided not to title their upcoming album ‘IV,’ as vocalist Sammy Hagar previously stated. He didn’t reveal the new title, but did share that the album will hit stores on Sept. 27. Blabbermouth is reporting that the first single, ‘Bigfoot,’ will hit airwaves this month."
