    Default Cheap Chickenfoot

Picked up the "deluxe limited edition" of the Chickenfoot cd at Best Buy today for $2.99. Contains a bonus track plus a dvd. The regular cd is same price.

Never got around to checking this out.

Gave me an 80's flashback to "bargain bins" at the music store. Picking up lp's and cassettes for $3-4 of bands like Cheap Trick, Rainbow, 38 Special. Even the double sided WACF/Fair Warning cassette. Always glad to get a deal but a little pissed/offended that your favorite bands had been relegated to the "crap pile".

It's no big deal anymore to see an album released a couple years ago in the bargain bin at a big box store. Seriously, I-tunes, Amazon etc are where a lot of the sales are going. Just because Wal Mart or whoever is selling an album that is not a new release in the bargain bin, doesn't mean we should think about a good band as a failure.
    Just go for it!

I am a little surprised that store even sell CDs anymore. CDs will soon go the same way as 8-track and cassettes. I used to think that "albums" would just be sold on USB flash drives in stores, but I believe now that very soon everything will be in an "iCloud" that we will purchase music and movies from.

I might have to pick this up! I just watched the "Get Your Buzz On" show on VH-1 Classic the other night. Made me break out the CD again. Sam and Mike's harmonies live are just awesome, especially on MKG and SLT.

I hadn't been in Best Buy in a while, and was shocked when I went in there a few weeks ago, and saw how they revamped the CD section down to almost nothing. Ironic, since Best Buy is the type of store that put so many Mom & Pop record shops under, only to turn around a few years later and pull the rug out from under the market. Supply and demand I guess. At least I have The Record Den in my town, who's owner says that as long as there is demand for CD's and vinyl, he will stay open.

Funny though, I asked what I could get for the roughly 700 cassette tapes I acquired in the 90's, and he basically said they were worthless... I have to agree, I hate the format and don't even have my cassette player hooked up any more.

I was in Best Buy when my local store finished cutting down their selection. Several employees asked me what I thought of the "revamping" and my reply was that they cut their selection and I was not happy with that. They tried to convince me otherwise, but, bottom line, when you cut your selection, you lose business.

I need to go to your Best Buy! I bought the Deluxe CD about a year ago for 15 bucks! Best Buy hardly ever has any sales where I live.

Im one of the few left who buy CD's (over downloading). And everytime I have gone into BB to buy a new release (outside of the Foo Fighters), the CD is not in stock. So, I now order most of everything via Amazon.com.

Yeah, I still buy nearly everything on CD still (the one exception is those "one hit wonders" that I will pick up on iTunes), and its getting harder to find discs in stores anymore. Pretty sad when Walmart has more of a selection than Best Buy does...I really miss the days of going to Peach's Records and Tapes in SoFla and being able to spend hours in the place and still find a little gem on the shelves.

Best buy website has the Deluxe edition for .99. Plus S&H.

I couldn't get the page to create a BB account open, however.

Was their Gold Cert for units sold or units shipped?

It seems that the sharp discount will move quite a few more units which makes me curious what the current sales total is.

Does it really matter anymore how many albums a band sells? Do you like a band more because they sell more vs. a band that you really like? (I'm not picking on just you, just the overall stupid shit that people argue about day in and day out with album sales etc). Does it really fuckn matter? Go to a live show and fucking rock the fuck out and have fun listening regardless of how many stupid albums are sold!
    Just go for it!
