Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

Again with the second line of Dirty Movies. I always misheard it as "it sure would seem", but it's written just about everywhere as "a 'so what' scene"

Dave writes it as "so obscene".

I always that thought "so what scene" was kind of odd. It is "so obscene", right? Makes more sense. Would be nice to finally nail this line after 30 years of hearing it.

That's weird. I never thought it was anything but "so obscene". Still one of my favorite VH songs ever.

Consider the source...DD only recently discovered that the Tom Petty song is Free Falling and not Tree Farming.

I kind of prefer Dave's handwritten original first verse for HAIL. Some interesting first drafts there.

Am I understanding Jeff's message correctly that he has had these in his vault since 1981? If true, can't deny the guy is well connected.

Also, strikes me as Jeff must know a hell of a lot more about what is going on right now then he is sharing. I think the last year or so has been the wost torture since 96. Feels like we are so close to new material only to have even the "insiders" shutting up all of a sudden...

Only this band can make a 45 year old attorney feel like a dip shit 12 year old boy, waiting for any hint of information. (Wondering how I can bill my clients for posting here?!)

The difference is, when you were 12, there may not have been much info, but there wasn't a long wait either!

I'd be interested to see what a graphologist would say about DLR's handwriting. Might be quite revealing!
