I don't want to browse through 99 other artists ... is Van Halen on this list? And if so, is the Cherone era properly represented?

I don't even need to click on the link to know that fucking craptastica Nirvana is on the list, which completely invalidates the whole thing.

Nirvana is 27, but Frank Zappa is 71... enough said. No need to explore the rest of the list.

ok, found a quicker way to get through the list, and yeah, it's complete and utter bullshit that Van Halen isn't on it! Say what you want about them now, but from 1978-1984 they were something special, and even after April 1, 1985 it took quite a few years before Eddie V. completely lost the plot.

I'm not even gonna look at that list. This is Rolling Stone we're talking about here. The track record for their 'lists' is quite evident...utter BS. They still think Nirvana was the Second Coming of Christ...

When I saw Bob Dylan No. 2 and Led Zeppelin not in the Top Ten I quit reading.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

All one needs to do is read one of their political articles to realize no one there has a flying fuck of an idea what is going on with anything.

I think a huge portion of that list is based on whose influences are still relevant today. As brilliant as Ed was in his prime, and as many guitarists that have been influenced by the guy, it really doesn't show in any relevant music today. And by relevant I mean whatever Rolling Stone is considering relevant.
