    Default Best Van Halen Bootlegs

I'm very curious. Been out of the bootleg game for quite some time and am just wondering what the best bootlegs are per tour for VH. Been working on a lot of audio projects of late and may want to toy around with the best ones out there.

So per each tour, which were the best audience recordings and best soundboards (if there were any, and if they're worth a damn)? Just curious, since I haven't downloaded much lately a lot has surfaced, so I'd love some insight. Thanks guys

For me the Best boots of Vh are from 1980, the band was on top! Live from 1976 to 1979 were great, many from soundboards! 1981 : not really good recording! 1982-1984 some great one too!

The 78 London show is absolutely fantastic, albeit short, since they were the opener. Soundboard, and it usually shows up on various file sharing sites in FLAC format.

It hasn't been updated and is missing a lot of shows. It's a great site but so much more has come out over the course of time that it doesn't do me all that much of a service.

    Thank you, though!

I've been out of the loop on collecting shows since the Roth reunion tour ended a few years ago. Has any really noteworthy recordings surfaced especially from '79 - '84 in the last couple years?

I have a copy of the London 1978 show when they opened for Black Sabbath. Soundboard quality. Also has another 6 or so songs from 1974 from a show they did at Gazzari's in Los Angeles. Has cover art and would love to trade for a copy of the Japanese leg of the Balance Tour in 1995. Thanks, Jim jwarnstedt@comcast.net
