    Default Divebomb Parts "Test Run"

A "test run" of a Divebomb neck and body...

Body: Northern Ash Neck: BE Maple
    Bridge P/U: EVH Frankenstein
Neck P/U: Seymour Duncan SSL-1 (active via 500k push -pull pot)
Trem: "EVH stamped" Floyd Rose (originally on an EVH Wolfgang Special that was "parted out")
The body and neck fit together perfectly, hardware installed with no problems and so far, it plays and sounds fantastic. I'll post a quick video later tonight or tomorrow.

Dude, freakin sweet. I want one.

Just one question, how come the relic'd pickups? Are you going to relic the rest of the guitar?

I'm sure he is. Jimi's excellent at that.

Yeah, I am. I'm sending it out to be painted with nitro next week... I just don't have the facilities to do it in the Wintertime.

Well, it finally got back from being painted and "aged"...

The finish is a very thin coat of nitro and although you really can't see it from this angle, there is heavy "checking" in the paint.
I painted the p/u, control and jack cavities with conductive paint and then wasted no time putting it back together!

Ha, Ha! It's a keeper, Lou, it sounds great! I installed the Ti Floyd and I gotta tell you, it's magic with the aged A2 magnet of the EVH Frankenstein pick-up!

Is that an actual EVH relic or some of your handywork with a base swap? So the secret combo is ASH + FR Ti + EVH pup - you'll have to post a clip.

I had to search for this but what ever happened to your SD Custom Shop IM1? Did you like the tone with the A5 or was it to harsh? I wonder if you could con MJ to slip-in an A2???? ...right!

I'll definitely post one, Lou. And no, it's definitely not an actual EVH relic.

My SD IM1 is currently installed in my "Blue Franky"...

... I find that the degaussed A5 is anything but harsh... it actually sounds nice and warm! MJ & company knew exactly what they were doing!

Seriously Jimi, EVH should hire you...these are the guitars I want to see from them. The art series was a tease...Wolfs are great but....

Jimi - Ok, you are the man with relics, without question. My question is this, how many guitars do you have? I'm going to guess 25 at least and I really like the ones I've seen
