X-Men: First Class Sequel to Shoot in January
Source: Heat Vision April 5, 2012

Heat Vision reports that Twentieth Century Fox plans on beginning the shoot for its X-Men: First Class sequel in January, meaning that there will be no conflict over Jennifer Lawrence with Lionsgate over the filming of The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.

The trade says that Fox was originally planning on filming the Matthew Vaughn-directed "X-Men" follow-up this fall, which would have conflicted with Lawrence's Catching Fire, a movie Lionsgate is targeting for an August-September start date. If that had happened, however, Fox would have won out considering the studio would have been able to exercise the sequel option on her contract, which she signed before her "Hunger Games" deal.

Lawrence will reprise her role of Mystique and is expected to be joined again by the likes of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones and Lucas Till.

Hugh Jackman in Talks for X-Men: Days of Future Past
Source: The Hollywood Reporter November 28, 2012

Although it should come as no big surprise, especially in light of yesterday's news, The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that Hugh Jackman is in talks to reprise his role as Wolverine in director Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Jackman would join a cast that has been confirmed to include James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.

Scheduled for release on July 18, 2014, X-Men: Days of Future Past boasts a script by Simon Kinberg and is said to be inspired Chris Claremont and John Byrne's comic book storyline that ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981. "Days of Future Past" introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.

In addition to playing a key role in the comic book version of the story, Wolverine has appeared in every live-action X-Men film to date and will star in his second solo adventure with the July 26 release The Wolverine.

So, we have the first solo adventure called "Wolverine", and the second one is called "The Wolverine"?

What's the third one going to be called, "That Wolverine"?
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

On a serious note, I'm really excited they are taking on Days of Future Past. It's one of the best X-Men storylines in the comics. Of all time. Period. And having great characters and actors that have been established in the roles as both the young versions and the older versions makes this the trifecta that ties the two 'runs' of the movies together, without the silly-ass reboot like Spider-Man did.

Just out of curiousity, but was The Matrix the last original screenplay that came out of Hollywood?

Seems like every damn movie is either a re-make, a re-boot, or a screen adaptation of something already written.

The last X-Men flick was pretty damn good. Glad to see they're bringing in Stewart and Mckellen for cameos and keeping Fassbender and McAvoy in the roles.

Michael Fassbender has become one of my favorite actors.

He's good in everything, even if it sucks, he's good in it.
