Default Whats your favorite VH tour setlist so far...?

I love the "F.U.C.K" and "RHRN" tours the best, not only cause i'm more into The Hagar years, but its more cause the setlist had a great continuety and they jammed a few tunes, and also threw in "Make it last" now and again, and other old band favorites. I just loved those 2 tours, plus they were having so much fun!!!
I loved how "Mine all mine" kicked off the US leg of the "RHRN" tour aswell. That was a cool surprise opener.
As a Roth period fan, fans would've loved the last tours setlist....ofcourse.

I honestly haven't seen my favorite yet. If I had to choose, I'd combine FUCK and Balance tours and add Humans Being. VHIII tour setlists were good too!

For me it was the '84 tour. Best songs, best form, best sound. VH was at it apex and we (at least I was) the right age. They opened with "Unchained" then went into HFT. Later "Little Guitars" was played on Eddie's mini Les Paul.

    Yup, my absolute favorite.

I did see the VH 3 Tour at MSG in May 98. Say what you want about Cherone but the set list was awesome. i did think the last tour had a great set list as well. would have loved to see "Hear About it Later" or the never played "Top Jimmy' though. Guess it has to do with ED not having that Ripley guitar to take on tour ever.

For the tours that I saw in person, probably the RHRN and 2008 tours.

The best has to be the RHRN set from 1993. Every song was just perfect right after another. Adding 'Unchained' and 'Rockin' in the Free World' were good adds and made for a great set.

He'd need a doubleneck. The guitar is in an open tuning except for the solo, which is in standard tuning. Too much hassle for one song. Would be cool. The 82 tour had the best set list for me.

VH3 for me too. My only gripe with it was the encore (Josephina).

RHRN was great too for reasons eman2 explained.

The 5150 setlist might look sub par now but I loved that as well because at the time, I couldn't get enough of that album and they played almost the whole damn thing.

Probably 82 and 08....although I would have preffered seeing them open with something other than YRGM on the latter.

1984 to me was magic. they were the biggest band on the planet. the lights/stage is/was in the Guinnes Book; love the setlist. Unchained, On Fire, Growth (before) YRGM, Little Guitars, Girl Gone Bad, Everybody Wants Some, House of Pain...amazing.

I was at the 1st night of the US part of the RHRN tour and to this day that was by far the best show I have ever seen. They just tore it up on that....set Mike's bass on fire. I loved Alex's solo (that was the first time he had the keyboards overlayed and it was spectacular). Ed played great, sammy sang great....hell the opening act was Vince Niel and he was damn good (with Steve Stevens on guitar). The 1st leg of the 95 tour wasn't very good but they were kicking ass the 2nd leg.

You made me remember something as to why this was so good musically...I saw them in Weedsport, NY and it was on 4th of July night...outside venue. They had fireworks after the show and Eddie was riffing and in sync with the bursts of pyro as they exploded over the stage. He just was goofing on the guitar but that extra something was just spectacular after an awesome set-list!

Just by going by the songs played, I'd have to go with 2008. As for the performance, probably would have to go back to the 81 or 84 tours. Again though, the last tour had every song they are known for--hell, they played everything except one song from VH 1. And the concert I saw they didn't play anything from Diver Down (they cut out Little Guitars later in the tour), so I view that as a victory.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.
