    Default Mysterious Eddie gear pic

The following picture was taken from Bradshaw's website (http://www.customaudioelectronics.com/).

I suppose it's from 1995 due to the presence of the eventide h3000 and not the h949s and since it's identical to that one he shows on the Amsterdam interview.

But if we look closer, to the left side, we can see some Marshalls that look like the ones he used on the 5150 (and ou812?) tours. Was Eddie not always using the 5150 live ? Or maybe this one isn't a backstage pic and that Marshall aren't his...

Dunno, but it didn't *sound* like he was using Marshalls then. I always thought the tone was more consistent with 5150's.

This pic might have been taken at Bradshaw's before it shipped out, or maybe in 5150.

this pic is from the 95 balance era and Eddie DID break out the imfamous Marshall 69 plexi head for the Balance record (not tour). He mentioned it a few times in some guitar mag interviews I have from that era.

I forget what tunes he used the marshall on but I do know he recorded some tunes with it from Balance. This was back when Matt Bruck broke it out again and convinced Eddie to check it out again. Ed decided to use it on a few tunes from Balance of course along with the 5150s.

I would bet that was taken at Bradshaw's shop, or possibly 5150 Studios and those Marshalls are just there. He was using the 5150 during the FUCK, Live RHRN, and Balance tours.

If you like cool, rock music, check out REVERY. We've put out two albums, and an EP. We were signed back in '06 and toured the US (our single Popstar Wedding was all over the radio back then). Our latest album, Adora De Phonic is available on Itunes, Amazon, etc.

Pretty sure I recall reading that he used a Marshall for Aftershock from Balance.

(take this for what it's worth)
"On the "Balance" tour, he still had two Marshalls w/ him (a JCM 800 and a late '70s JMP (MV))" from this URL:
    http://www.vintageamps.com/plexiboar...php?f=1&t=2530

Here's an interesting schematic of his rig from 1997, so this might be for the VHIII tour (no Marshalls listed):

I think back in 2002 or thereabouts there was a site called unchained world II that had rig breakdowns for Eddie and one was the 95 tour rig which had 2 marshalls modified by someone (CAE?) in a rack in the back. The beef of the sound was the 5150's at that point but I think those were mixed in the dry cab on North American leg of the tour. They are absent in the Europe video so knows though.

That picture you have is a standard picture Bradshaw took at his studio, and those marshalls are probably ones he had in the shop that were his, another client or maybe even Eddies. They aren't representative of the touring rig at the time though...

That's right. He used the Marshall on Big Fat Money at least in the studio for that weird little jazz type solo, and supposedly occasionally switched in for Spanked when he used the EBMM doubleneck for the 6 string bass section live, but most of his stuff live sounds much higher gain than his Marshall ever did.

Yes he did. I've been told they were used on his clean Piezo pickup tones.

exactly right about the marshalls. this photo is from Bradshaws shop. i have been there many many times. thats the rig for the balance tour. they made him a new pedalboard so the channel switcher and wah would all fit. this looks like just before that and it was probably just being tested out. those are just marshalls from the shop in back.
