    Default Romantic Music Suggestions

I have a special event coming up that I want some romantic music for (think soft lights, candles cliche).

For me romantic music usually involved some Journey, Toto and maybe Black & Blue or Sinner Swing by VH, but these are getting a bit long in the tooth.

does anyone have some (real) suggestions for some new or modern romantic music? R&B is my significant others kinda genre.

I await the joke responses and hope I get one or two serious ones

    Thanks

Sade - Kiss Of Life and the whole "No Ordinary Love" record.

Basically any Sade will do the trick. She won't resist!

Ludovico Einaudi. "Una Mattina" is his best CD.

Simple solo piano pieces that don't intrude too much. It's easy to overdo it with vocal music. The sugar sticks to everything.
A man could lose himself in a country like this.

Graeme's right with vocal music...too often it can get in the way...especially if it's a very recognizable song...can really ruin the mood.

    There are a few though...

    Ian Moore
    Fickle
    Beautiful Light

    Dah-Veed Garza
    For Keeps

    Stevie Ray Vaughan
    Life Without You

As for an instrumental...I'm quite fond of Stevie Ray Vaughn's Little Wing
    Stay out of it, dude.

(Although see if you can find the version that doesn't have Michael Anthony on the cover because that's not very romantic)
