    Default DLR HFT 2002

Check this out....@ the 19 and 20 sec. mark in this video, theres live footage
that I have never seen before. I'm assuming its the Texas Jam or that other huge festival they did on the first tour in California ?

has anyone ever seen more footage?

it pains me , and I know its been said a billion times before, but why won't they
release some of this stuff? It would make a mint for them and please a bunch of fans.

I know thats a VH oxymoron though..

BTW, Dave sounds pretty bad here...

    cool picture montage though
If cleanliness were next to Godliness, then that would make you the devil...(CLUTCH)...

Dave was pretty bad when I saw them in Mass as well. Sammy opened up and he sucked all the energy from the crowd and I for one was spent by the time Dave came out. It was like seeing a VH tribute band with a weak DLR impersonator.

they probably don't release it for the very reason you state. Someone is probably a little off in all of those performances. Everyone raves about that Oakland show but I've seen some crappy footage on Youtube and didn't think they really sounded their best, so I'm sure the same applies for a lot of other shows.

That may be footage from "day on the green" in Oakland 1978.
    May be silent footage.
Just guessing, never seen that b4.

Yep, that looks like a home movie, maybe shot in super 8, that Dave owns.

I really went to see DLR at the Sam and Dave because I don't like much of Sam's solo work, and man did he ever suck.

His voice was so shot at that point, and he was still thinking it was 1980 with his appearance and act.

Total turnaround for the 2007/08 tour, in which I thought he was the best part of the show.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

What a horrible performance. By the way is that James Lomenzo on the bass?

Yep, he was with DLR for a while and I believe he plays on the Diamond Dave cd, then I think he hooked up with Black Label Society and now Ozzy, but that is purely off memory and I am too lazy to look it up.

Yeah I noticed that before--there's another split second of some '80 backstage footage of Ed & Al in the RNR HOF intro video. Probably from that movie they were gonna make that year, so you know there's definitely existing World Invasion footage (on the stage, behind the stage and under the stage).

Lomenzo was with Dave for several tours starting with the '02 stuff. Cant remember if he was with him on his last tour in '05. Anyway he joined Megadeth around '07 and was with them til replaced by Dave Ellefson in Feb. of this year. Didn't know he was with Ozzy now but maybe he is. Pretty cool guy tho. Had lots of good stuff to say about Dave.

Megadeth, that's right!! I looked it up, we were both right!!

    Recent band history -

    DLR - 2003
    BLS - 2004, 2005
    Megadeth - 2006 to 2010
HAIL - cover band with Ripper Owens- 2008 to present
    Lynch Mob - 2010

He has also played with Slash's Snakepit on occassions.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

He was also with Dave in 2002 for all the Dave/Sammy shows.
