Default Imagine VH doing "Karma wheel"

I'm loving this song so much. If this song was brought to the table, if they had of made a follow up to "Balance", Eddie would've ripped on it. Everytime I hear it, I think what Eddie would've done with it. Sammy said on a interview in 97 in a australian interview that he wanted to experiment with the follow-up if they had of done it back in 95.

That's an awesome tune. Perhaps Satch could put some touches on it that would be mind blowing.

lots of Sammy songs would have been insane had VH of done them.

I remember reading an interview where Sammy said he actually played Leaving the Warmth of the Womb for Ed and Ed loved it.

Imagine VH doing that song = mind blown.

yep, I remember reading that too, and "Returning of the wish" was originally called "The Wish" and it was supposed to be on "Balance".
"The love" was written for "Balance" aswell.

Dude! The Wish was actually a leftover from OU812! I remember that from Rockline. A fan asked about that tune, and another called "You Never know". Sam and Ed were shocked that he knew about them. keep in mind this was pre internet, so for VH, the guy had some serious inside info. At least at that time.

"High Hopes" and "When The Hammer Falls" both sound as if they came from Sam-era VH sessions.

From what has been said, the 2 "Wishes" are totally different though, with lyrics being the only common thing.

the Wish and You never know were both songs that were left over from FUCK. Eddie talks about them in a guitar player interview.

The Love was not written for Balance. It's actually a rework of an unreleased HSAS song called Ever Since you Came. The guitar is a bit different but the lyrics are really close. I actually like ESYC a bit better but I really, really like the version of The Love from Red Voodoo. I'm pretty sure Niel Schon got credit on Red Voodoo for The Love as well. Look for Ever since you came on youtube cause I love that song.

Sam said in an interview that the lyrics from The Wish were used for Returning of the Wish and he did say that when he heard Once from VHIII he recognized the music as being the same as the original music they used for The Wish.

Returning of the Wish, VH's Once and another tune are all apparently pieces of what was going to be Between Us Two.

I've heard that on here but I've never read anyone in the band say that. like I said above The Wish was reworked into Returning of the Wish by Sammy and Jesse Harms. The keyboards were redone for once.

I do remember Sammy saying that between us two was going to be like a combination of Unchained and Dreams....it started of acoustically and then kicked in.

If I remember correctly from Sam's unreleased autobiography, High Hopes was originally written for Van Halen, but Ed turned it down, he therefore used it for his Greatest Hits compilation for Geffen.

Which according to Sam, Ed got pissed about. Go figure.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Thanks for clearing it up, I knew they definately were'nt from the "ou812" sessions. I have "Ever since you came" live from the HSAS live concert. It did'nt dawn on me till now that its the same lyrics to "The love".
