Working Girl on cable. 1988, when Alec Baldwin might have actually weighed less than Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford was a wee lad of 46. Oh yeah. That was also the same year the Lakers won their final NBA Championship of the Showtime Era and the Dodgers won their last World Series.

Not even seen the original but this just looks bonkers and a right hoot. The last scene and line is cinematic madness or, as I suspect, genius.

Watched The Usual Suspects on a movie channel for the first time in a long time last night. That movie is one of my all-time favorites. Just a perfect movie in my opinion.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

One of the handful of movies that I can't pass up watching it if I am channel surfing and come across it.

exactly. I just don't get the hype. A Quiet Place was head and shoulders above this. At times I thought Birdbox was downright boring.

I usually like Sandra Bullock, but I didn't like her in it. Lazy knock off of A Quiet Place, I agree.

I liked A Quiet Place but it was full of holes and when you think about it for more than a couple seconds, makes no sense whatsoever - right up there with Signs, whose aliens are killed by water, invading a planet that is 70% water.

Saw Solo last night on Netflix. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Actually enjoyed it. That said I never really thought the actor playing Han Solo was Han. I mean the words sounded like they could have come from Han Solo but the personality didn't come through. I found a few parts to be annoying like TLJ but overall it was a decent flick. Much better than TLJ. Loved the cameo at the end.

Enjoyed it. And I now have a crush on Jessica Chastain. Yummy.

Temple Grandin. True story of a woman diagnosed autistic as a young child in the 50’s. What she has gone on to accomplish is nothing short of stellar imo.
