    Default New Satriani recording

The album isn't due out until Oct 5th, but I found this link to one of the tracks.

I think Joe is great player, but his compositions can get a bit predictable after a while. My attention drifted off a bit with this, though there is a nice change in the last minute or so.

It's probably going to be great live.

    It's cool.

I am not a guy to sit and listen to an instrumental album, but I like it.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I freakin' LOVE it...but that's just me...sounds like he got inspired by the CF thing...

Joe's new band really swings on this one -- like it. This one will cook live! Looking forward to seeing Joe go out with a bit more jazzy rhythm section this time around!

I know this is rock N roll and the state of it today, but could they compress it just a little more? It sounds pretty good but does the world need more of this? Satriani is great but he is wasting his tallent on this solo stuff that hardly anyone cares about. Get back to writing with chicken foot!

    from billboard.com
Satriani says several of the songs on "Black Swans and the Wormhole Wizards" have some history behind them. The first single, "Light Years Away," and the album-opening "Premonition" were both considered for Chickenfoot's first album.
heard both would have loved them with the foot
