I believe this is one of many brands produced by the Harmony brand. If I had to guess it's probably from the mid 70's to mid 80's. These were usually packaged with an amp, hence the Starforce Amp. Not too bad as a beginner guitar, but, for a few bucks more you might be able to get an entry level Ibanez, Fender(Squier)Strat, ESP(LTD). Not sure what's available to you in Austrailia. The reason I say not too bad, is because every once in a great while, you'll come across one with fantastic sounding pickups. Meanwhile, the rest of the guitar is falling apart merely by the breeze blowing on it. Also, if you happen to be into a guitar being properly set up (intonation, string height, action, etc.), it's virtually impossible on a guitar like this. You would pay more to have this done than the guitar is worth. If it's just something experimental for your son, then probably not a bad deal. Watch out for the shipping charge, or you may call it post charge? I didn't see anywhere in the E bay description where it talks about shipping. Perhaps you live in the area and griving to retrieve would be an option. Just some food for thought. Good luck to you.

Yeah....It did look like a Harmony. It's got kind of a Mosrite kinda vibe about it.
I was going to suggest if you and your son like this kind of guitar which has tha 70's funkiness, check out Hagstrom. They made some very good mid low priced guitars back in the day, and they can still be had for basement prices. Saw one recently in a second hand store in great shape for 200 bucks. The necks are very strong, solid pieces too. They often came with lots of switches, kind of like the spacey looking Tiesco's, which gives all kinds of cool tones through different pickup/phase selections.
She looks so $#@!'n good ,so sexy and so frail....Somethin's got the bite on me, I'm goin' straight to Hell.

haaaa, i've seen one of these before, it's in my loft gathering dust! I'm totally unaware of the manufacturer either, since I've had it it's never had strings on it so i can't comment on sound/playablity etc.
