    Default Delay recommendations

Ok, I'm looking for a good cheap delay pedal. Right now I'm using an Ibanez DE-7. The echo setting sounds really nice, not cheap or cheesy at all. I'm looking for a second delay pedal that I can kick in when I need it. Haven't been able to find another DE-7 anywhere. Any recommendations? Seems that delay pedals all cost upwards of $200 when you add in tax. Want something cheap and good

Cheap delay's seem to always sound cheap to me.
My main delay is a Boss Gigga delay twin pedal and it's great.
I use a MXR Carbon Copy as my 2nd delay and i LOVE it!!
Id spend the extra $$ on a good pedal if i were you.

I also have a DD 20 - I have a love hate relationship with that pedal.
The delay sounds and are great and the modulation is an added bonus.
But, it can't do the Eruption "divebomb" and the SOS feature is flawed.
Therefore, it's tits on a boarhog for using it as a looper (not impossible,
but not great either). For basic delay sounds and then some the DD20
kicks some major ass. I bought an original MXR analog delay and sold it
right away due to some annoying modulation happening when doing bends,
etc. I imagine the carbon copy shits all over it. I think any used BOSS
DD (irregardless of model) will get you what you're lookin for - but I don't
know if you're just lookin for a backup or a better unit.

I've been looking at the Digitech Hardwire pedals recently. I've never been a big Boss fan, just haven't gotten along with a lot of their stuff.

I'll tell you, I just discovered the line 6 echo park pedal. I've always liked the Boss delays, but I now feel this one is better. It retails for about $169, but if you watch ebay, you can score one for a fraction of that price. Go to Line 6 webpage and see what it can do. Best of all, say you don't like it? Say you need another pedal? You can interchange the "module" and turn it into one of their other pedals. Not too shabby. Oh, the modules are pretty cheap, too!
Eddie must think I'm a BOZO to want to drop THAT much on one of his new Charvel Guitars!

Get a Malekko. I have an Echo600Dark and it's amazing. Still, that one is discontinued and whenever they come up for sale, they are expensive. But the new Malekko 616 is good too. Also, check the Wampler Analog Echo. I also have one of those and it's very good, I daresay even batter than the 616. It's digital, but sounds analog (And better than many analogs), hence its name.

I wouldn't say no to that at all - but the dude was talking like below a $169 price point.
Man, I would love to have the Pitch Factor - but we're talking like $500. Such lust...

I'd suggest the MXR Carbon Copy. It's such a great, organic delay, and the "mod button" is awesome.

I've had a boss DD-5 for years and it's works well. Is cheaper than a carbon copy or a de-7 and works just as good.
