    Default Old Pickups

Can any of you guys help me. i just bought an old Univox Les Paul made in the 70's and the pickups had been replaced. The pickups that are in it are shown in the pics. I've done some research and I think these may be really old SD 59's. All they have on the back is a white sticker. One says 59B and the other says 59N. Thay have been potted and have really old single cloth wire. The guitar is... a.... unreal and these sounds really cool which I guess is all that really matters. Are these old SD's?

I would assume, and probably you did too, that it stood for 59 Neck and 59 Bridge, Is there any other writing on them besides?

It looks like there may have been some hand written letter or letters after the 59a's and b's but its faded and they are dirty with dust stuck to the wax. I didn't want to clean them up to much.

    Contact Duncan to be sure.
I had an old Duncan pickup from the early 1980s and it just had a little white sticker on the bottom, too. Later, the company began using embossed plates with the Seymour Duncan logo. Lastly, unlike DiMarzios and most other brand humbuckers, standard zebra Duncan bridge humbuckers are cream/black, with cream being closest to the bridge.
