Default Dark Knight Rises: Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Tom Hardy as Bane

ROBIN Williams wants to star in the next Batman movie.

The Hollywood legends says he’d love to play the The Riddler when the caped-crusader makes another big screen outing.

“I would do Batman in a second,” said the 58-year-old.

“I’d play The Riddler in the next one, although it would be hard to top Heath Ledger as the villain and I’m a little hairy for tights.”

Williams says he’ll ask for the role in what will be director Christopher Nolan’s third Batman caper.

But the Old Dogs star is wary — he was offered The Joker and The Riddler in the past but was twice overlooked.

Robin recently revealed he feels “like a cow” following his lifesaving heart surgery a year ago.

“I have a cow heart and the best thing about being part cow is that I can crap when I walk now,” he said earlier this year.

“But I find it hard to eat beef. It’s like I’m one of them!”

Nolan's not an idiot. Whatever and whoever he decides to cast we can all rest assured it will kick ass.

I thought it was said that Johnny Depp would be playing The Riddler?

It's all rumor. The script isn't even written, so casting has not been done.

Williams won an Academy Award for dramatic acting. There's no reason to think he'd be terrible in the film, or play the Riddler like Mork.

I don't know, Robin Williams is hit or miss. For every Good Will Hunting there's RV or Centenial Man or whatever its called. I'd rather see Depp play as the Riddler, as he's a more consistant actor-though this is all rumor up to this point. No script has been written and no one has been cast. Do we even know if Bale and the rest of the crew will still be on for the third and final go round?

Bale, Freeman, Oldman are locks for this third movie, I'd bet on it.

haha...so I meant to post the following in this thread but somehow it showed up in the baseball thread.

apologies for the completely off-topic post over there.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Williams makes two kinds of movies: good ones where he's really invested in the role and shitty ones he makes for money to finance his life and projects.

He is among the best actors of his generation but some of these crappy movies he makes have made a lot of people forget about films like The World According to Garp, Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poet Society, Cadillac Man, Awakenings, the Fisher King, the Birdcage, One Hour Photo, Death to Smoochy, and the Final Cut...and these are just the "big" movies. he's done a bunch of lower profile films all throughout his career that have been very very respected.

Over his career he has, time and time again, proven to be one of the most versatile actors with a depth and range not often seen...just a shame he makes some of these stinkers.
    Stay out of it, dude.

I should hope so. Losing any one of them would be a tragedy for the franchise.

And I wouldnt worry too much about Robin Williams as the Riddler. Chris Nolan has proven he's not that predictable. I wouldnt even count on the Riddler being the villain.
