    Default Bass Amp For Guitar?

I'm thinking of trading in my bass for a guitar. Would I need a different amp? Or would my bass amp work for a 6 string guitar? Thanks!

really depends on the amp in question, and the guitar ofcourse. but you have a hard time to beat a Fender Strat and a Fender Bassman for great tone.

I picked up a guitar recently and started learning a little to help me with my songwriting (play bass and keys normally) and I like how it sounds coming out of my Fender bass amp.

I just thought I was being lazy/cheap, but now I found out I might be doing something right!
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yep! What they said. Depends on the amp. It will work, don't get me wrong, but it's designed for a different range obviously...but keep in mind, the Fender Bassman was the genesis of Marshall. If it's solid state, it'll be real clean, so then you'll most likely wanna run something to boost the gain ; either a Tube Screamer type pedal, or a modelling deal. If it's a tube amp, you're laughing. You can get great crunch out of an all tube bass amp and just flavour with a boost pedal...maybe a cheapy EQ for more mids and high.
She looks so $#@!'n good ,so sexy and so frail....Somethin's got the bite on me, I'm goin' straight to Hell.

I use a bass/keys amp with my Pod Pro as the front end live all of the time. I admit that I warm up the tone with a tube pre.
Dammit!!! I still smell like cotton candy!!!
