Default Opie & Anthony trash Chickenfoot hard!

this is pretty lame. Satriani "overplays" on the CF record? hmm.

Well one of the two said "it's not that bad," and the other said he liked one song. I wouldn't call it a thrashing.

These guys don't like Sammy in the first place, but CF is so good that it got even sammy haters to listen. The album is cruising towards 1 million copies sold, and this little rant gave it even more exposure. Things are good in CF land!

One of the reasons i like Chickenfoot is because Satriani does not overplay.

Opie...the name says it all folks. Or as Alan from The Hangover would say 'He's a r'tard'.

Here is what matters about Chickenfoot - their first CD was rock solid. I still listen to it regularly. Buddies who for whatever reason who hadn't heard it - love it and pick it up shortly after hearing it. I actually had a friend download it just because he loves Sam - then listened to it the first time like 2 months after he bought it - and felt like a massive dumbass because it'd taken him so long.

Here is the next thing that matters about Chickenfoot. If there next CD is anywhere near as good as the first - I'll be thrilled.

Here is the last thing you need to know...who gives a flying fuck what some dumbass DJ thinks about a CD? As long as you like it - that's all that matters.

For the folks who think I'm blindly following them b/c of the VH lineage - IF Van Halen ever figured out where the lightswitch is in 5150 - then happened to remember to press the 'record' button and release some stuff - and it was good - I'd have great things to say about them.

People who bash the record do it mostly based on the pre-release hype surrounding rather than a well developed opinion of their own. Knowing that makes any particularly harsh comments easy to ignore. Its a very good album, but everybody demanded more.

Ehhhhh....You know people nowadays. People have short attention spans and are tied up in this whole "relevance" deal. This guy was expecting the second coming by kinda liking the radio hit? he's not gonna get that with Chickenfoot. It's just a solid rock & Roll Record. Formulaic? Yeah in it's arena rock format sure. Honestly....these kind of over the top opinions don't even get to me anymore. I don't even bother bringing music into my shop either because the younger guys are always cracking jokes, or coming right up and dissing my stuff right to my face. "Van Halen? Did'nt that guy die or something?" Or getting an intellectual primer about how Dave Mathews is a "grassroots poet". Billy Joe Armstrong represents the rebirth of the punk movement. So much for music just being music and not a commodity with an expiry date. I mean, why do we have classic rock stations? I wouldn't take this stuff to heart guys. it's just a shock jock's opinion trying to get ratings. Like it was said above, Chickenfoot is doing very well, and it's appeal is very broad. We do have younger guys where I work that love the album, and did'nt even know who Sammy or Mike were.
    Not bad.
She looks so $#@!'n good ,so sexy and so frail....Somethin's got the bite on me, I'm goin' straight to Hell.

Wow! A couple of guys on satellite radio that use the F'word because they can. I'd bet that they use this routine repeatedly on just about anything they critique. Yawn!

Opie was Andy's son on The Andy Griffith Show. Seems like the kid who played Opie on that there TV show has done some movie directing or somethin'. :-)

Not sure about that Anthony fellow.

Love the album. I'm not going to be sensitive enough to care what O & A think of it. I can relate to how they feel about i-tunes though. I've bought some clunkers in my day that grind me whenever they show up in shuffle.
