    Default Chickenfoot Appreciation Thread!

Hey all, so here's my train of thought...

I'm sitting here, watching the CF DVD extras, drinking some Cabo Reposado and sprite. When I think back on the last few years, its amazing that our personal connections, general topics and overall appeal to the forums has been enough to keep us here given the disaster that was 04', followed by Sammy's sub-par efforts on Livin' It Up and CUF. We also got that poor excuse of a reunion in 2007. We each take what we will from these occurrences, to each their own, but lets face it, we're all hear because of VH, or at least that's why we started here.

So, in the last year, CF gave us a record, followed by a deluxe edition record, followed by a DVD. They traveled much of the world, and most of had a chance to see them. The songs, though we all wanted a little more diversity in the set, were generally very good. We aren't talking another VH I, a 5150, or a Led Zeppelin II, but we got a great record. Good enough, at least, that I said a few weeks ago on here, I don't need CF II this summer. It would be great, but I can spin this for another year if need be.

My point is that, while VH does nothing so far as anyone knows, or for people like myself who are too alienated to care anymore, we have music and releases to look forward too. I loved the Wabos and all they gave us too, but CF is something far more unique given the personnel involved, and most of us can agree on that.

So while we have the soon to be 63 year old Sammy still doing his thing, and while we hear Mike's bass and background vocals and bass louder than we have in years, and while we hear great solos from Joe and heavy drums from Chad, I feel like we should all take a step back, thank this group for doing all they can to give us something to look forward to. Here's a few pics from my CF experience last August in Halifax.

Wow those are some big pics! But I've been listening to CF more and more. The songs are pretty catchy. It's great to hear them all.
