    Default Netpune Factory Kramer

I was Orlando last week so, naturally, I made my way over to the Hard Rock Cafe and snapped a few photos of the guitar that Ed built in the Neptune Factory...

Here's a photo album "montage" that I put together waaay back in the '80's that depicts Ed striping, painting and assembling the guitar...

The best is the look of utter horror, shock and dismay on the faces of Dennis and Floyd...

...I don't think either of these guys had ever seen anyone circumvent and ignore so many accepted industry and professional standards for painting and assembling a guitar!

Here's is the "masterpiece" in the final stages of assembly...

...and here it is being played by Ed at NAMM...

..were it was given away to a lucky fan...

...only to eventually end up in the Orlando Hard Rock Cafe!

    No problem.
You gotta love those "graffitti style" black lines... and the fact that Ed routed the bridge cavity so close to the posts!!! Unbelievable! No wonder Floyd looks so horrified!

i first saw that guitar a couple of years ago in Orlando, the exibit (infact the whole downstairs area) was closed for some reason, but i snook down and got a couple of real crappy cell phone snaps of it, before being wrestled away by some huge security dudes, then i was back over Christmas 2009, people were eating at the table below the guitar and being English i thought it would be rude to start taking photos, thanks for haring them Jimi

I completely understand... although, it's funny that you thought it proper to risk "capture" by security on your first visit! LOL! Luckily, the table happened to be empty when I took those shots...

Great pics! Yeah....I never noticed the route that close to the post before. Unreal. Also, it may just be the angle but the left pickup leg looks real close as well. Was it mangled to fit the route, and stuffed in there? Wonder why the microtuners were yanked as well. Still a very cool guitar.
She looks so $#@!'n good ,so sexy and so frail....Somethin's got the bite on me, I'm goin' straight to Hell.

The microtuners were probably stolen by johnny public. Same goes for the "tone" knob. Same thing happened to David Gilmour's "Black Strat". He gave/lent it to one of the HRC and people stole all the knobs and pup selector knob... Cant blame them, though. If I was close to it, the thought would definitely enter my mind, although I wouldnt do it...

Probably took out the tuners so people wouldn't steal them.

I walked in to the Hard Rock in San Francisco about 6 months ago and saw one of Andy Summers Hamer guitars there.

There were people sitting right in front of it and i TOLD them to bend down while i filmed the guitar.

They were from out of town so i guess they knew what was good for them so they did.

    LOL!!
