Default Any fans of That Metal Show?

It's the only way to really seem to get any info about what's going with a lot of these metal guys these days. Does anyone else watch it?

I watch it fairly often. The one with Dave Mustaine was pretty good. And you're right, one of the very few places that you can get any news on Heavy Metal/Hard Rock stuff on tv. Pretty good show.

Good show. Like the Stump the Trunk segment and the Box of Junk girl.

i like the show, it could be better if they dropped the comedy skits. I mean its entertaining but they only have 30 min once a week so its a shame to waste time on silly skits when they have someone like ronnie james dio or rob halford sitting there on the stage. Stump the trunk is fun.

I like the show and I think Eddie Trunk is great. But those two morons sitting with him are the worst I've ever seen on any show. They bring nothing to the table. Jesus do they suck.

I think they could easily make it an one hour show.

It's not like VH1 Classic doesn't have room for it on their incredibly packed prime time roster of original shows....
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

I'd love to see it as a 1 hour show too. They get awesome guests but barely spend enough time with them to get any great info out of them other than what they're promoting. I like the reviews they give and "where are they now" but I think the comedy bits drag on too long.

Actually I think it is a 1-hour show . . for the live audience. I've seen several clips of the Mustaine interview on commercials that were not on the actual aired program. So evidently it is heavily edited for tv.

Yeah three hosts for a half hour show is dumb, plus they're douches. Eddie by himself is just fine.

absolutely agree. Trunk is tolerable...I don't have any huge issues with him but those freaking TOOLS he has with him are absolutely unwatchable. I can't sit through most episodes because they're so lame.

I like the guests, I even like the stump-the-trunk bit. I wish they would do less of the silly "we're so smart and witty but don't take ourselves seriously" deal and more of the informative stuff.
    Stay out of it, dude.

Wasn't their first Box Of Junk girl found dead in her apartment at age 25?

    Shame...

    I like that show,
one of the only that still deals with the music I grew up (and am still) listening too.

They should air the full hour, and put some killer metal videos with it, picked by Trunk.

Keep the 'douchebag comedians' too, because a whole show with only one host would get boring real quick...Those guys earn their keep, imo. They probably write a lot of Eddie's lines, too, like Jackie & Artie did for Howard Stern.

I think Trunk is great. He knows his shit and he's not full of himself. He's very easy to watch and listen to. But too often the show is moving along pretty well but then those two shit heads ruin the flow and dumb down the show with their constant attempts to be funny and edgy. I don't get why they remain on the show. They fucking suck.

    From last year, I think..:
Kerri Lee Tucker, better known as the "Miss Box Of Junk" girl on VH1 Classic's television program "That Metal Show", was reportedly found dead in her apartment. She was 25 years old. No further details are presently available.

Eddie Trunk, who co-hosts "That Metal Show" with Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson, writes on his web site, "Kerri was a great part of the show and we had fun with her on the days we shot. I did not know her well outside of our working relations but she was fun to have as part of 'That Metal Show' in seasons 2 and 3. We featured her prominently in our final skit of season 3 which just aired and featured [original KISS drummer] Peter Criss. A fun day at Le Cirque.

"My condolences to her friends, fans and family and she will be missed as an asset to 'That Metal Show'."
