    Default http://strumminwiththedevil.com/ still live

Pointless bit of info, but yeah, someone's still paying every year to keep it online.

Amazes me given the album sold 1, 700 copies in the opening week and that's easily the highest sales it ever had. Given Dave shares the songwriting credits, he's not even drawing a major sum from each copy sold.

I think the promo site might actually cost more money to keep online than they make in revenue from the album xD

I didn't buy it, but I liked the version of Jamie's Cryin'.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Elfoid, I THOUGHT you were my friend!

WHY OH WHY are you subjecting our ears to THAT?????

I remember when I saw poor ol Dave preform RWTD. I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or just feel sorry for him.

I actually think that album is a lot of fun, especially Hot For Teacher.
That disc stayed in my car player for months...may have to dig it out again...been a while.

"20 minutes (late to work)? Shit. Last year I woke up three weeks too late.
My advice is to go for the alien abduction story. Look bemused, dishevelled and on the verge of tears as you recount your story of intrusive and degrading medical tests.
Worked for me anyway. I still have colleagues asking me what it is like to fuck a green womanoid with seventeen breasts.
Alternatively just walk in and inform everyone that alcoholism is indeed a disease and that they should be less judgemental and perhaps a little more supportive."

I tell you...that version of I'll Wait gave me chills..

I fucking LOVE the dynamics on that, just awesome..
John Jorgenson knows how to build tension, I say..

That's a great cd, and a whole new light to shine on the
quality of the songwriting team of DLR/EVH.

"Take the music past where you found it.."

Let's face it...Van Halen was never just about rock & roll...

There's bluegrass, big band, vaudeville schtick...
and yes, fierce rock licks that will smack you in your face with it's power..all told by the master storyteller (DLR)...
with lyrical images as bold as the imagination they came from,
& all the adventures that became the inspiration for the tales.

It's part of what makes (Classic) Van Halen music so different than any of it's peers...
like Dave said.."you can feel the weld marks..."

I'd rather see this tribute cd, than any of the 'rock' ones they've done for Vh...
    those just miss the point.

I think this Stummin With The Devil cd actually captures the true nature of classic Van Halen way better.
