    Oh my...that was impressive.

Even the most ardent Sammy Hagar hater has to listen to that and go "WOW".

Not my favorite tune, but I can't remember Van Hagar sounding more powerful than that.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Killer stuff...no coincidence that Eddie was still playing his Marshalls...VH style blues certainly is pretty wild.

it's actually from the last show on the RHRN tour. They did it during Ed's guitar solo section. The show is out there as 'Rockin my hometown" but it's edited out along with the opening of the show (mine all mine).

I have this show on cassette, the unedited version and it is totally incredible. easily one of the best vh shows I've ever heard. the energy is incredible.

Definitely does not sound like EVH's RHRN sound. Plus the set list was pretty rigid by that time. I think only the 5150 and OU812 tours (to a lesser extent) had variety in the set lists.

Eh I beg to differ. I think it sounds like Ed's RHRN tone. Kind of saturated with a bit of chorus.

Awesome to hear Ed rip into Since I've Been Loving You for a couple seconds.

actually they were still doing little things here and there on the RHRN tour, they did a full band version of Eagles Fly and stuff like that. not as much as in the past but it was still there at this time.

they launch into this during ed's extended solo, you can hear Sam say "mikey, al let's go have a drink" cause right when they finished Ed just went on with his solo.

the cassette version of the show I have is probably one of the best VH shows I have on boot (I've got about 150 cassette's in my basement), it's probably the last time they just went out there and had fun.
