CNC Files (Computer Numerical Control)? Are you referring to a "program" wrote in G code CNC machines use "similar" programs but there are "G & M codes" that differ on controls. You can "crash by trying to use a "generic" program.

Your prolly just wanting a drawing file,?? (DWG,DXF or other) and generate a program from that. There are several software (CadCam Computer aided drawing-computer aided machining)options out there. Mastercam is what I use at work. It's awesome. If you get access to a CNC they should be able to clarify what is needed for "Their" control.

I have a few DWG's of geetars.. What are you looking for?

Is this any help on the type of files you're looking for?

Here's an exact (Fadal) CNC machine that I have used to machine parts from DWG-DXF drawing using Mastercam. Basically, you generate a program/toolpath on a pc from an AutoCAD(DWG) drawing and send it to the machine.

This is what Carvin uses. Check out the machine in action!!
