pretty sure this has been for sale prior to this and discussed here as well.

My thoughts are, why would he sell this? Does he need the money? I'd never sell a gift. Especially one as cool as this.

LOL, 75k is way, way, way over priced IMO.

As stated above, not sure why Nuno would sell this. The Extreme tours aren't exactly massive but they've been doing tidy enough business, I can't imagine he's struggling.

Is does say Eddie gave it Suze DeMarchi. Maybe he was cracking onto Nuno's wife so he doesn't like it being in the house lol.

Nuno's got More than Words money...he ain't hurtin. That tune alone has bankrolled their lives. Hell there's another R&B cover of it making the rounds on the charts and radio as we speak.

Between the Porno and III Sides albums and tour revenue, he's got loads of credits as a songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist on tons of domestic and international recordings.

Add to that the coin he made on the Waiting for the Punchline album and tour, Sadaudes, five solo tours and records, the paycheck from Satellite Party and for being Rihanna's touring guitarist and there's really no need to believe he's hurting for cash.

He gave a ton of guitars, one of which I saw him play during his first solo tour, to some guitar shop to sell on ebay or whatever. The prices are ridiculous so I wouldn't be surprised if he told them "get me X" and they said ok and are posting it with 100% markup. That's pretty common on consignment deals like that.

Several art galleries including mine used to use that a lot of with consignment type stuff. Customer wants 500 bucks? Ok, we'll tag it for 1000 and give ourselves 500 dollars worth of wiggle room. Someone wants 1200? We'll tag it at 2400 and so on.

The prices do seem very very high but I hardly doubt Nuno is walking around his pad going "shit, what can I sell? damn man, what can I sell?!"
    Stay out of it, dude.

    From the eBay Listing:
"Now this guitar is TOUR USED.
Looking at the back of the body you will see divots and dimples from Ed's belt buckle"
I think Kimmie is out getting a second mortgage. It's the closest she'll ever be to Ed's belt buckle.

    Ed wore a belt? When

I only see belts on him now when he's out on town shopping or modeling in some leather chair in the woods...

Cool and all but has anyone ever seen photos or video of Eddie playing a gold top ebmm on tour?
I was a HUGE VH collector in 1991/1992 and don't recall ever seeing pix of Eddie playing a gold top ebmm on tour.

That photo from rolling stone always stood out to me because Eddie was holding a gold top ebmm.

I know Jerry from Alice and Chains played one live. Or he played one in a video anyway.

Anyways thats way too much $$$.

Funny, it was for sale a while back and the auction got pulled.
I'd feel funny about turning around and selling a guitar that was a gift for a lot of money.

if anyone is dumb enough to spend that kind of coin on THAT guitar, they should be at least be smart enough, to fly, drive or walk to pick it up in person.

I would never let USPS, UPS or FED EX transport an item like that. I shipped a Les Paul inside a les Paul case inside another very sturdy box once on ebay and UPS somehow mananged to snap the neck.

I swear they have 400 lb gorillas tossing boxes around on those trucks.

Here's another crackheaded theory to amuse yourself with...

EVH is someone who was probably an inspiration/influence to Nuno,
& maybe, after hearing war stories from his bro Gary about
what it was really like to be around that guy,
he decided he didn't want anything from Ed anywhere in his house,
and at that point, why NOT go for broke and get every last dime?

Pobably gonna give a piece to charity anyway, just to spite him.

Poor form to sell a gift from a legend. They MUST need the money, thats what I think.

Life as a musician is not stable. "More Than Words" was written at the beginning of their career and they might have had to give away part of their publishing at that time.

During a good year, he might have bought some expensive property out here in Cali and could be struggling with the mortgage. It happens.

FWIW, when Nuno and Gary were on the metal show they jokingly said they got extreme back together because they were broke. Joking in that they probably wanted to get back together artistically but very possible they were low on cash.

yeah, never assume that a rock star that WAS rich still is. Just like many BB, and FB stars that go broke 5 years after retirement. hell ,Evander Holyfield blew 250 million on stupid stuff like a 109 room home...

Many crooks manage rockstars. And many rockstars fall victim to lavish lifestyles that they cant keep up with once the free ride is over.

Ed is smart in that his companies have probably kept him richer than most rockers from his era.

This guitar is cool, but sure as hell ain't worth 75G's

maybe 7 to 10 if that.
