    Default V-Picks

has anyone tried them? ive been seeing alot of good reviews about v-picks how they make you play better, you get better tone, better grip, all that crap.

I was wondering if anyone from vhlinks has used them and what there opinion is about them.

If the reviews are honest then my only drawback is they cost from 4 bucks to 20 bucks, Each! ya Each! and some of them seem to would be unplayable because there so thick.

Anways if you havent heard of them check out there site, hopefully ill order a couple and see for myself.

never seen them before but i may check a few out just to see if they live up to the hype.
recently i have had great succes with Ibanez Grip Picks, i would certainly recomend them, the do them with either a sandpaper grip or rubber grip, i used the rubber ones and loved them.

A friend of mine on the Fender forum Chet is best of friends with the owner of V picks and posted a whole tour of him at the guys house as he makes them at his home. I have never used them but all the guys love them over there. I would like to check out those Ibanez sandpaper picks. Hey Tommy where do you get them at GC.

oh i think it can help, but it takes years of experimenting to find your 'perfect pick', i have tried possibly thousands over the last 28yrs some make me play terribly, some really help my technique....plus i have a horrible tendancy to snap them due to my aggressive picking style...the Ibanez Grip Picks have proven to be very sturdy and comfortable

I've tried and played with almost every type of pic imaginable over the last 30 years... even some odd-ball stuff, brass, cymbolics (cut from used drum cymbols), acrylics, glass, fiberglass, wood and every type of plastic available...

Conclusion... very slight variance in tone. Biggest variance... grip & flex. Improved playing... never.

Always came back to the basics... Fender Mediums or the last decade, Dunlaps with a molded grip. Practice and technique will improve playing and tone... not the fancy pick.

i think that if you get the right pick, with the right grip & flex your playing can only improve, not nessersarilly tonaly but your technique will improve, therefore your playing will most certainly improve and you'll enjoy playing and struggle less

I used to talk to Vinny all the time, but not so much as of late. I just gave a handfull of these things to Atomic Punk. hadn't got the reveiw yet.
    These things aren't for everyone,
    but Carlos Santana loves em.

I've never tried these, and don't really see them on my radar as a purchase in the immediate future, but my general feeling is that *if* something can decrease fatigue, and extend someone's "perfect practice" time, then it's probably a worthwhile investment.

i make my own picks too, i find the kind they sell in stores not a lot of fun to play with.

i've thought about making it into a company ... one day.

Unfortunately I need a better right and left hand. The pick can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

However I may try one of these just to see what happens.

I love V picks. Since trying them...I use no other picks.

They sound great and are very comfortable. The best pick i've played.

I play the small pointed pick and it is close in size to a dunlop Jazz III. It is much thicker but they really glide across the strings much better than any other pick.

Sounds like hype but it's not.

Plus...they last a really long time. For $4 a pick sounds like a lot but if you can use all 3 sides of the pick and they wear very little over time...makes for a great buy in my opinion.

I have about 20 V picks and won't go back to any others any time soon.
