    Default DLR in Studio

Gregg Bissonette was on Inside Musicast and mentioned he is currently working with David Lee Roth in the studio. That was all the info given but i would assume it's for a solo album. He mentions it towards the very end. There are a few cool stories about his time with DLR throughout the podcast. Enjoy.

Everybody is talking about this.....but Dave.

Hopefully, we will get some new music from somebody.

The best in my opinion was saying they were almost done.

Would love to hear a new DLR album if it is originals.

Gives a little weight to one of the theories bandied around here for years that Dave wasn't releasing original music because he was saving it for Van Halen.

Quick guess, maybe VH is just going to be a touring entity, and DLR is free to do his own stuff in the down time.

Just some open thoughts, but it does have me a little excited.

Between this and CF it might be a good year new music wise for us VH fans.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

One other item caught my attention.

Within the last few months, I have heard/seen interviews with several different guys who had nothing about great things to say about DLR. Vai talked about how professional a musician he was. Bissonette talks about DLR's musical knowledge, how smart he is, how charitable he is, what a great musician he is, etc. etc.

The point I am making is that it seems everyone outside of Van Halen really likes DLR, yet everyone that has been part of Van Halen seems to bleeping hate Dave at one point or the other.

    Just thought it was interesting.

Dare I say it? I shall.

You can't be in two bands at once.

Not sure why the VH Bros would give Dave anymore leeway with that than Mike.

I'd be anxious to hear Dave with some guys like John 5 or Bissonette too though.

Na - if that were the case, then Mikey would never have been fired.

A better bet in my opinion is that Dave is realizing that Ed has become a specialist in doing the square root of Jack Shit....Dave is a bit of a hyper man - and likes to keep moving. Plus, he's also given his word in the initial press release that they'd release a CD...that was early 2007; finally we also know that while 'Dave can be Dave - and a bit of a weirdo at times' - he does NOT like to lie to the fans (aka, 1995 reunion).

Put all this together, and I think you have Dave saying - ok, Ed...WTF; we've done fuck all for about 2 years now...shit or I'm getting off the pot.

This said, if Ed called Dave back and said, hey, we're ready to release some tunes - he'd be there in a heart beat.

The unfortunate reality is the the collective 4 of them don't have fucking clue how communication with fans works - how to update facebook or anything of that nature. So, quite honestly - this is all informed speculation.
Winners come and go; legends are forever.

DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM VAN HALEN IN 2010

If Dave is in any studio working on anything that's not Van Halen related then its all over. And Ed once again has even more egg on his face.

"My new brother." Yeah right Ed, you've once again fucked up this band after something positive occurred in '07-'08. Your a puss and I'm done with you.

Van Halen V will consist of all duets in live performances then. One will sing as Sammy and the other as Dave.
