my father talks in his sleep prolificly....and sometimes he sleeps with his eyes open, so you don't know

sometimes he'll say something nonsensical just as he's dropping off in his lazy boy and when you try to talk to him to get it to make sense, you realize he was asleep

not long ago while talking in his sleep he went on and on about gravy

Here is a weird story. My roommate in college was taking Russian 101. Was failing and couldn't speak a lick of it. Anyway one night he started speaking Russian in his sleep. Sounded authentic (to our untrained ears) and much better than when he would attempt to speak it while awake. He told us to record him which we did. He couldn't understand what he was saying so he took it to his Russian professor. She said he was speaking almost fluent Russian.

Couldn't explain why or how but we started calling him KGB afterwards because this was during the Cold War. He failed the class and soon college.

One time when I was 4 years old my parents took me with them to some weird ass hippieville group hypnosis thing in the mid 70's down in LA. Odd that I still remember it so clearly... Anyways, the point was to try and connect with yourself in a previous life. My mind was young and pretty flexible and open to that kind of thing I guess. The hypnosis part or intro, took us through a pink cloud until we arrived somewhere (everybody's destination was different it seems). I came out in a cave on a white sandy beach. At this point, we met our personal animal. (again, different for everybody). Mine was a snake. The snake led me to my "guide", which in my case was a dude in a white tuxedo that looked like Neil Diamond. The "guide" led us to our shadow. In my case, we walked down the beach until the jungle started. The "shadow" is supposedly a representation of our former self. Mine was deep in the jungle. We had a chat.

    Fackin crazy weird right?

    Well,

According to my parents and everybody else there who witnessed it, I was speaking fluent spanish in my conversation, out loud. Never spoke a word of spanish prior.

The exit plan from this state was a mirror image of getting there. Shadow to guide to animal to cave to pink cloud and then 3,2,1 wake up. Poof. All done.

I still scratch my head on that one to this day.

The speaking Russian thing reminded me of that.

That's a great story ! If you weren't 4 at the time, I would have chalked it up to fantastic acid !
