Default Diamond Dave is to "Howl" for The Wolfman

94.5 the Buzz announced this morning Diamond Dave and Gene Simmons were called to record the Howling for the new movie "The Wolfman". They have been playing Dave all monring, very amusing today.

Got a soundbyte for us? Wonder if Dave still has it?

It could possibly be taken from this site too. Lots of screams, banshee yells, etc. here for the taking. Check this out:

Those are a lot of fun. I like to hit 'em in rapidfire succession and surprise myself. Good for a chuckle or two.

They're awesome and were an important (and often overlooked) part of diamond dave's vocal arsenal during the CVH days. However in later years Dave pretty much lost the capacity to do any of this. That left him with his regular voice, which in recent years has fallen short, IMO.

Where did they get the isolated vocal track for RWTD? Was it an unintentional leak of some sort?

That's a great question, and one that I don't have an answer for. Maybe somebody else around here knows the scoop on that. That site has been up for a few months now and has made the rounds. Who woulda thunk that Dave layed down that many screams and yelps in that little three minute song?

I'm still curious to hear this new one that the thread starter mentioned.

Went to see The wolf Man tonight.
Great flick. Stayed for the credits...and did not see Dave get a credit. Some other guy did, however. I can't remember his name, but it was not recognizable (at least, I didn't recognize). So, did he do anything for this movie, or is this another bulls**t report?

From what the director said in an interview, they took what Dave and Gene Simmons did and they special effected the hell out of it.

Maybe they felt it was not worth giving them a film credit for, just a paycheck.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I will likely will get this on ondemand Halloween night. Dave and Gene did wolfman voices? Guess by then the truth will be known. Would be cool if so. Looks good for a modern remake of something classic.

If Dave did the "howling" for the Wolfman in this movie, you'd never be able to recognize his voice. I saw it a few days ago and while it's a decent movie, it doesn't revitalize the classic horror genre. There's a few instances, especially in the climactic final battle (I won't spoil it), the movie comes uncomfortably close to "Van Helsing" territory with the overuse of the CGI. My recommendation is wait for it on home video.

Thanks for that TB. I was curious about that and the movie.
